Me and my cousins Hubby Balaji, both of us had an hours time of talking about the lives of these kids at the Ahobila Madam. They answered our silly questions on Religion, Mythology and god patiently. The session was one of the most enlightening and interesting ones i have ever had. This was shot while we spoke on many a things in general about life, religion, perspective, money etc.,

should i do a 365 thing, guys?
i've kindof been thinking about it lately, but i have some reservations. i already have well over 365 pictures of myself, so i'm not sure what i'd need more for, so i'm just thinking about it, and i'd like your opinions, if you have any.
i'm not sure i'd have the time to keep up with it, but i'm looking for something to challenge myself with this year. i know taking self-portraits isn't that hard for me, so i'm wondering if there's a way i could make it more interesting.
i could do 365 pictures of not-myself, but i'm sure a lot of these will be done in my house when i get home from school/work late at night, so taking pictures of objects around my house might get old. plus, there's usually more options for pictures with people in them.
or i could do 365 not-photoshopped pictures, but i <3 photoshop lots and i don't feel like it's that much of a crutch for me (though i assume lots of people might think otherwise). plus the whole bragging about "sooc" is kindof lame, ngl.
i could also try to write a small something to go along with each picture.
so i don't know.
also, where would i post them? on this flickr, i imagine, but then where would i post pictures that were not-365 related?
i know it's generally better to post as little as possible each day and not bombard flickr, but that's difficult enough for me as it is. i could make another flickr for a 365, i guess.
so, yeah, what do you guys think (assuming anyone cares)? any ideas to how i could liven up a 365 project? how do you guys approach it, if you do at all? what are your reasons for doing it? do you think it's kindof a boring/generic thing to do? if i were to do one, do you think i should post it here, or make a new, 365-exclusive flickr/tumblr/something else? i would like to know your thoughts on anything, if you wouldn't mind telling me. :]

Coasts of Ireland #7 - #Clogher Coastline aka “The Washing Machine”.
Quite possibly my favorite shot from an #Ireland trip, the stunning and rugged Clogher coastline. Below the sea cliffs lie amazing rock formations pounded relentlessly by the ever churning sea. Golden sunset light bathes the formations in a warm glow. The separation of all the different colors this digital back captures is truly astounding. Just wish it wasn’t $40,000+ !

i was walking back from dinner. not far from plaça catalunya. he stood in the middle of the crowd. motionless. behind the mask, no expression. on his laptop, two pigs in a metal cage. nothing moved, except the traffic. i stayed.
(Cut outside, across the street from the club, to the spot where the pop-up coffee vendor was previously parked. The lot is dark and unlighted now, Ronan, Sienna, and Mateo are waiting when Caly jogs up.)
Caly: Where is Lucas?
Sienna: We were hoping he hooked up with you.
Ronan: I don't think he's her type.
Sienna: Picture me punching your arm for that dumb visual. (to Ronan) I mean, I thought he might have met you (to Caly) on your way here.
Caly: He did not, and we can't wait. (motions for the black-clad trio to follow her across the street, toward the landscaping beside the stone front entrance gate)
(Cut to the quartet reaching a side door of the club, Caly trying the door.)
Caly: Locked, and there appears to be a guard inside so I can't risk breaking in, here.
Ronan: I'd have infiltrated if I knew they were going into lockdown.
Caly: You didn't know. We'll find another way. (looks around) Mateo, take them to the place you got in, before. It sounds like they don't consider it important, but if you get in, wait for my signal.
Mateo: Where are you going?
Caly: I can get into places the two of you can't.
Ronan: So can I.
Caly: I want you to stay with them, as muscle.
Ronan: I feel so empowered. (preens)
Caly: All of you, this is a deadly situation. I want you to use the weapons I gave you on anyone you encounter. Don't ask questions, don't wait to decide if they're human or inhabited. If they're human, it won't hurt them. If they're inhabited, they're your enemy. Understand?
Mateo: We're fighting evil alien invaders. Got it.
Caly: (smiles) Good. I'll meet you inside. (she darts away, vanishing into the darkness)
Sienna: She forgot to tell us what the signal will be.
Ronan: She's a tenet. It's bound to be -- obvious.
(Cut to Lilitus draining another human while Trajan absorbs the life essence of another inhabited human.)
Lilitus: I can't recall the last time I delighted in so many courses! Wait, I do remember. The soirée on that human's island, with all the delectable girls.
(Cut to outside, Caly's skirting the building when a hand reaches out from a ground level window, touching her ankle. She kicks away the hand, spinning and drawing her weapon.)
Levi: (his smiling face is framed in the window) Getting old, tenet? You should have sensed me.
Caly: (drily) Maybe I did.
Levi: Acerbic. (motions) This way.
Caly: I have others with me.
Levi: I saw them. They're going in through a service entrance. We'll meet up with them. Coming? (vanishes into the interior darkness)
(Caly doesn't hesitate, slipping through the open window, and closing it behind her.)

Si l'on regarde l'offre actuelle des différents constructeurs en matière de boîtiers photo, tous les modèles affichent une fiche technique particulièrement fournie. Dès lors, une question récurrente se pose : est-il possible de tomber sur un "mauvais" boîtier ?
En fait, tout dépend de ce dont on parle. En termes de qualité d'image, tous les boîtiers, même en entrée de gamme, sont capables de livrer des clichés très qualitatifs, avec un bon niveau de détails et une excellente restitution des couleurs. De même, tous les boîtiers vendus aujourd'hui dépassent (et de très loin) les performances de leurs aînés sur les photos en basse lumière. Il y a quelques années, capturer des clichés à 6400 ISO était presque impensable ; aujourd'hui, c'est devenu quelque chose de "presque" banal.
En fait, la différence entre deux boîtiers va se jouer sur d'autres critères. Je pense notamment à l'autofocus : non seulement en termes de vitesse d'accroche du sujet, mais aussi d'efficacité de la détection et du suivi du sujet et de son œil (humain, animaux, véhicules, etc).
De même, la vitesse en rafale – mais aussi la capacité de la mémoire tampon (buffer) – sont deux aspects importants.
Enfin, l'ergonomie va être un point assez intéressant à étudier : même au sein d'une même marque, certains appareils s'avèrent plus agréables à prendre en main et à utiliser que d'autres.
En définitive et dans mon cas de figure, j’ai décidé de ne plus faire l’acquisition de nouveaux boîtiers même, si je dois vous l’avouer avoir été très intéressé par le nouveau Nikon Z9 après l’avoir eu en mains pendant quelques temps et prêté gratuitement par l’importateur de l’enseigne en Belgique !
Ma conclusion est qu’avec ma collection relativement importante de boîtiers et d’objectifs Nikon, j’ai décidé de continuer de shooter avec mes deux boîtiers phares à savoir le D500 et le D4s et d’utilisés les autres qu’occasionnellement !
Pour les objectifs le problème est évidemment différent puisqu’ils resteront toujours fonctionnels avec n’importe quel boîtier choisi !

If we look at the current offer of the various manufacturers in terms of photo cameras, all the models display a particularly extensive technical sheet. Therefore, a recurring question arises: is it possible to come across a "bad" box?
In fact, it all depends on what we are talking about. In terms of image quality, all cameras, even entry-level, are capable of delivering high-quality shots, with a good level of detail and excellent color reproduction. Similarly, all cameras sold today exceed (by far) the performance of their elders in low-light photos. A few years ago, capturing shots at ISO 6400 was almost unthinkable; today, it has become something "almost" commonplace.
In fact, the difference between two boxes will be played on other criteria. I'm thinking in particular of the autofocus: not only in terms of the speed of capturing the subject, but also of the effectiveness of the detection and tracking of the subject and its eye (human, animals, vehicles, etc.).
Likewise, burst speed – but also buffer capacity – are two important aspects.
Finally, ergonomics will be a rather interesting point to study: even within the same brand, some devices are more pleasant to handle and use than others.
In the end and in my case, I decided not to acquire new cameras even, if I must admit to you that I was very interested in the new Nikon Z9 after having had it in my hands for a few time and loaned free of charge by the importer of the sign in Belgium!
My conclusion is that with my relatively large collection of Nikon cameras and lenses, I decided to continue shooting with my two flagship cameras, the D500 and the D4s and only used the others occasionally!
For the lenses the problem is obviously different since they will always remain functional with any chosen case!

"Le bonjour de ZZ Top". Incroyable néerlandais, j'ai discuté avec lui, il a voyagé , au Chili, Tahiti, Ile de Pâques, à la Réunion l'Ile des Pins et maintenant à Nouméa. A ma question "Où comptez vous aller maintenant?", il m'a répondu "je reste ici, je n'ai plus de sous... et il fait bon à Nouméa!"
After yesterdays disappointment with the zoo today i also had to spend quite a lot of time home alone. She has to work in Belgium (this is quite a drive but maybe she will find yummy chocolates and beer for me?) and she won't be home until late, so we are left to fend for ourselves. I know he can cook but he just seems to eat salad in this warm weather, so i can't take any chances and need to provide for myself. I found a piece of old bread and am going to attempt to lure some sparrows close enough to catch. I'm guessing that i would need quite a few for a decent pie....and now it's just a question of waiting but if any of you see one please let me know...

This is the caterpillar of the Question Mark butterfly (Polygonia interrogationis). There is a tiny mark on the underside of the butterfly's wing that gives it the unusual name. I photographed this spiky creature at the Butterfly Haven in Pingree, Idaho.
Following on from yesterday's shot of a short consist 6M18 at Long Eaton, this week's Saturday double helping goes even shorter, posing the question...."was it really worth it?"!...............
Secondly, GBRf's 'aggregates' liveried 66711 'Sence' passes Trowell Junction with a one wagon 6O01, the 10.18 departure from Scunthorpe Trent to Eastleigh East Yard.
This photo is dedicated to Shero6820. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for simply asking,"Could her kimono be on back to front?" That one question led to me solving every, every problem that I was having with this doll: No, her kimono was not on backwards, but her head was! This also caused her arms to have the wrong hands on them, and created the puzzle of why I could not get her arms into her kimono! Thank you a million, trillion times!

Question Mark (Polygonia interrogationis) U.S. National Arboretum, Washington DC
Your wish is my command. On the last day of this unseasonably warm weather (74 Fahrenheit today dropping down to more seasonal 54 degrees tomorrow) I wished to see one more new butterfly species. Out of the blue, there was a fluttering and this beautiful Question Mark settled on a magnolia tree and was basking in the sun. Its wings backlit by the sun produced some uncommon images of this butterfly. In this ventral view (closed wing position), both the dorsal (top view) and ventral (bottom view) markings are visible.

Art doll Laughing Fox
Sometimes people ask me how I come up with characters of my dolls. I always find it difficult to answer this question. The dolls themselves create himself and his character. It is said that the doll comes alive when she opens her eyes.
With this doll the same thing happened. I had thought of a completely different character. But as soon as she got a face as if she said to me, "Hey, I want to laugh, to run and to jump. I want red hair! I want to be a FOX!" :D
Sometimes I think I don't create dolls. They create me :)
There is a Black Neck Stilt at Wachodahatchee that lost it's nest and it's mate in one day. An alligator suddenly destroyed the nest, destroyed the family and devoured the mate. And so one stands alone. The question we all ask ourselves is, will there be another mate? Will there be a new nest. This is the way of nature, cruel as it is and hard to watch...

During my last stay in Northern Germany I visited the same site as last year for a second take on the European common spadefood. This time, despite the terribly dry and hot summer, I was able to find six Individuals during the night and early morning, five of which had just recently undergone metamorphosis. I later learned, that the population in question acts as one of two donor populations in a reintroduction effort. Some spawn is harvested and tadpoles are reared in captivity for head starting purposes. Some of the metamorphs then are not used for the reintroduction program but returned to the donor population to compensate for the prior harvest. A batch of such individuals had been returned to the site just before my little night hike and so accounted for the relative high number of animals I encountered. I am deeply grateful to people working on projects just like this, doing their best to sustain and reconnect populations of threatened species in an increasingly fragmented landscape.

The Waterfront line heads up the slope and enters the tunnel heading for Tower City.
The Waterfront RTA line opened on July, 10, 1996. Interestingly, this line passes under and has a station underneath the Detroit-Superior Bridge (where the abandoned since 1954 streetcar / subway route is). This is the newest RTA line and is a light rail route, not a grade separated / heavy rail metro route like the red line.
