A new addition to my etsy shop, the slave bracelet...as in the ring is a slave to the bracelet, a rather ancient design made modern.
My lovely Wife Zoe has made us this Pyrography piece in the style of a GWR cabside numberplate :).

Doretta Darkness
Doretta, her friends Cat and Pumpkin have been created with love and care.
Doretta is a true dark girl with mystery and beauty that stops people in their tracks. Her friends Cat and Pumpkin stay by her side and they all love to play cheeky tricks on people and scare them on Hallows eve!
Doretta herself is a ragdoll with a difference. She is wired, so her arms, legs and neck are pose-able to a degree (great for photo opportunities). She also has real eyelashes and glossy eyes set off with her sparkly lips.
Her clothes are mostly not removable, though you can take off her rhinestone encrusted cape. Her boots are hand made black faux leather with ribbon laces. She is also wearing a lovely sparkly rhinestone crescent moon necklace and a twinkly rhinestone bracelet on her right wrist on top of her gorgeous long satin lace top gloves. Under her skirt she has a pair of lace stockings topped with ribbon, she also has a black netted underskirt.
Her hair has been sewn on piece by piece and then each strand has been separated one at a time to give her that gorgeous wavy look and feels lovely and soft to the touch. This is toped off with a charming little top hat encrusted with rhinestones with a cheeky silver spider perched on top.
Doretta has a gift for her new owner when she arrives, a lovely hand made bracelet hand painted with a spidery theme.
Cat, Pumpkin and the spidery bracelet for you; have all been crafted by hand with clay, then also painted by hand. ALL sewing and fixing of rhinestones has been done by hand, taking many many hours.
Doretta and all the accessories come in a special wooden box that has had many hours of pyrography cast upon it to personalise it specifically to Doretta. It also has a date and number mark. Inside the box Doretta and her accessories are secured in place between two luxury pillows and fastened in place carefully with ribbon.
Doretta is approximately 27cm/10.5inches tall from her feet to the top of her hair.

Beech Bowl with pyrography. Around 8" (20cm) across. Finished with Bush oil and Polyurethane. Continuing my exploration of Zentangle (R) Inspired Art. Trying a new pattern.
I always wanted to do a woodburning of Monarchs clustered like in the photos of Monarch-laden trees in the butterflies' wintering grounds in Mexico. Wrap-around woodburning on maple block, finished with Derwent Signature watercolor pencils and Renaissance wax.
Finished Ikea box--now to hold my sewing notions. You can see the variation in the wood they used when the stain was put on, but that's what I love about wood! I found lots of old children's book illustrations for the designs. Most are from old pre-1922 readers. Pyrography (wood burning) done by my sister, Marla Sharp.

VENDIDO/SOLD
Made a wooden peel for baking bread and pizza on a stone.
Cut it out from a sheet of birch plywood using fretsaw, thinned edge with a rasp, covered with mineral oil.
Tried to make some ornament with a wood burning pen - though have to admit that my pyrography skills didn't get better since my last practice in childhood :)
I would make some changes in composition too. I've started with five fold symbol and then decided to draw four-line braid. Now I would switch them, so braid would better fit the handle and five fold be better transition to smaller braids.
I came up with five fold celtic symbol (modified it a little) to show close relations between baking on a stone and all four elements + time.
