Gentlemen Series of Pyrography clocks

This is a pyrography on wood I had to do for my art workshop subject in high school. My teacher asked us to be creative and artistically burn the wood. So I grabed a old door from my grandparents house and did a person with shapeless body and cracking with a clock head that simbolizes the time. The person has a hand of wire that I did using my father's hand as model. The hand is comming out of the wood with flowers growing in it. The person is trying to open the door and come to the outside but she does not have the keys because they are too far away despite she can see them.

I used a pyrography tool and a blowtorch.

not entirely sure if this one is done. it needs something...thinking some kind of cloud formation in the back ground in very light blue.

Pyrography and paint!!

I can't show all the art in one photo. Hand drawn and painted with leather dyes and then wood burned around the outlines.

Dave has burn-etched his signature leaf motif around this 2 inch diameter holly whorl. He has crafted the 7 3/4 inch shaft from purpleheart, and has added a brass hook to the top. The weight of this beautiful handspinning tool is 0.8 ounces.
