Have you ever sat on a hillside overlooking a small beautiful cove that runs into a deep blue sea 🌊 behind us, having a conversation with four Shelties….If not, I suggest that you ought to try it sometime….As it can be quite a rewarding experience….Ok, I agree that it can be a job getting a word in edgeways’ sometimes….But I like to think that I can be a good listener when put my mind to it, especially when the conversation is about Maysie having trouble getting her directions to her food bowl ever since she had a stroke last October leaving her head on the tilt and her brain has not come to terms with that and likes to thinks that her head is perfectly upright. Making her feeding a bit problematic, but no big deal as she coupes well….But Millie has come up with a solution to the problem by suggesting buying a much bigger food bowl for her to target into……And guess what….She saw one in a boutique shop on our way up here….But because it has pictures of dogs around it sold from a boutique shop, the price is £18 sterling……As I start to buck at the price, Halo stops me right there, saying that Millie Jazz and himself would raid the CraZyGang treat fund and empty their pockets and do whatever it takes to raise the £18 needed to buy the big food bowl for Maysie, which for once left her speechless with gratitude…..And yes this this is a true story, and did I not say those conversations with Shelties can be a very rewarding experience…Sigh…Oh yes indeed they can….

Yesterday I got busted by hubby! Seems that if I add up every Paypal transaction since October 1 ...the number is staggering!!! Today I started my dolly diet by avoiding a dolly meet where I knew I would spend a bag full of $$$. I stayed home and tidied up my dolly room and put together a second glass display cabinet. I have one more beautiful girl adopted from Maasje that will be joining the family as soon as she is paid for and two girls on a commission list. That is it for 2011!!!

Anyone else in a similar predicament?!?! Hurry up 2012!!!

Put some Rollei 400 Infra Red into the Bronica today to shoot some mono - Needless to say the sun went in fairly quickly

Caleb sold fish as usual on the streets of King's Landing. By sundown, the bucket was almost empty, and his small purse was filled with coppers. It had been a busy day, for the fisherman had gotten up before dawn, so the warm sunlight and the pleasant weariness of the day had quickly put him to sleep.

Fortunately, the ordering of the GEez was correct on this westbound intermodal. A Dash9 from the batch of units painted with toilet water trails about a year old Tier 4 credit unit making for quite the contrast.

Put on the old car coat, cruise the Rambler to the grocery store, fill up the cart with food, and rush home in time to make dinner for the kids and that hungry working man. Welcome to the mundane life of a woman during the American Gray Flannel era. And don't forget to have the house tidy.

A couple months ago, I bought and scanned a slide of MARC GP39H-2 #73 taken as it was being delivered to MARC in early 1988. I thought it was the earliest, cleanest picture of the #73 until I laid eyes on this slide. Taken at MK Rail in Boisie on October 27th 1987, the #73 is so fresh, not all of the stenciling and lettering is complete! What a fresh picture of my favorite MARC unit.

This slide also took a bit of work, since it was mounted in the frame so that the rear of the engine was sliced off. I had to open the mount carefully, reposition the positive, and seal the mount back up It was worth it since now you can see the whole engine.

I think it is interesting how power gets put together on a big old railroad. Somehow, a pair of leasor units have been paired together for the Cedar River Local for the past 2 weeks out of Waterloo. It's pretty neat to see a couple of old ex-Soo Line SD60's paired back together again. Here, the girls sit at the roundhouse at Waterloo over the weekend. The Cedar River doesn't work over the weekend much, so the power will sit for a day or so unless needed on M338 for a kicker unit.

These Soo SD60's were in the 1st 21 units order (6000-6020), which were delivered between between August and October 1987. This bunch was returned leased, and some spent time on the INRD. Now, power short CN has them.

Sometimes the best strategy is to stay put.

So um yeah a loooooooooooooong time ago I requested to be put on the waiting list to receive THE socks, HOPING I would get them prior to my Day 365 back in December.

Prior to my Day 365 I was actually into sp's.

CRAZY I KNOW.

Well it didn't quite work out that way.

BUT the oh SO lovely Sarah was kind enough to send them my way recently.

The only problem is that now that 365 is no longer a part of my daily life (THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I am SOOOO not into sp's anymore.

Like AT ALL.

Sooooo this is as good as it gets.

Sometimes that happens and I am okay with that.

I put up my Christmas decoration. I love these lights and so I didn't put all of them down last year after Christmas ;)

In other news I joined my friend Stefan for watching the season game of Hertha BSC in the Berlin Olympic Stadium yesterday. Berlin won and so Stefan was happy. Later my team also won and so it was a good day for both of us :)

I remember the first time I encountered the Beauty berry. My father and I had gone for a walk in his neighbourhood and he called me over, all excited, because of this strange and wonderful bush covered with purple berries that didn't look real. He was convinced that someone was trying to trick us and had put a plastic plant in their garden to trick us. It wasn't until he squeezed one of the berries in his hand was he convinced :)

Leiden .....The Netherlands 2018

This is Molen de Put in Leiden. It is a wooden corn mill replica only 30 years of age.

The original mill dates back to 1619 and was owned by Jan Janszoon Put. The first mill burnt down in 1640, rebuilt in 1729 and destroyed again 1817. The octagonal mill foundation was later discovered in 1982 and reconstructed again in 1986 made possible through fundraising campaign among the population of Leiden.

“Nature can put on a thrilling show. The stage is vast, the lighting is dramatic, the extras are innumerable, and the budget for special effects is absolutely unlimited.” Yann Martel.

Since I arrived in Ireland, it was clear to me that I wanted to photograph the Dun Briste Sea Stack from Downpatrick Head, one of the most impressive natural attractions on the island. I had seen many images and videos of this place, so I knew about the different compositions that I wanted to achieve. When we got to the area, there were clouds in the sky, but quite scattered, after exploring the different compositional options and taking several videos with the drone, I decided to try the image I had in mind with the sun included in the composition at sunset. It wasn't my favorite option, but a few clouds over the horizon and the warm sunlight illuminating the cliffs and the Atlantic Ocean easily convinced me.

As the sky was not very spectacular, I was able to focus on adding more elements in the foreground and making the scene more interesting. Moments after the sun went down, and seeing how the wind was quickly bringing numerous clouds, I ran to get my "Broken Part" image, which I published a few weeks ago. The following sunrise, with a dreamy sky, I was able to get "Natural Impulse", my favorite Dun Briste photograph, a perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable experience photographing this spectacle of nature.

Someone put

You on a slave block

And the unreal bought

You.

Now I keep coming to your owner

Saying

"This one is mine."

You often overhear us talking

And this can make your heart leap

With excitement.

Don't worry,

I will not let sadness

Possess you.

I will gladly borrow all the gold

I need

To get you

Back.
