PA_1512 [50 points]
One of the special Olympic space invader pieces Invader put up in Paris during the Olympics of 2024. This one is very visibly located along the Seine right below Hôtel de Ville which is an official location during the Olympiad. Unfortunately this one did not stay very long. But a lot of people have enjoyed this one. During the Olympic Games an adapted version of Paris Plages were organized as well.

[ Visited PA_1512 for the first time on 24/08/2024, 17 days after invasion, but a vehicle of the fire department was parked against the wall so I could not flash nor capture it ]

The colours in this shot were further enhanced after I added the butter to the prawns. Then the flames came up and really brought things to life.
The Kingston Fossil Plant, operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority, is located at the confluence of the Clinch and Emery Rivers, tributaries of the Tennessee River, between the towns of Harriman and Kingston in Roane County, Tennessee.
The plant put 9 power generating units on line in 1955, with 5 tall and 4 short stacks. In 1976, its original stacks were taken out of service (though left standing) and replaced by a pair of 1,000.0 feet(304.8 m) tall chimneys, one for units 1–5 and one for units 6–9. To reduce sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions, all nine units use a blend of low-sulfur coal. Two scrubber shave been added to the units, further reducing emissions by up to 95 percent. This project was completed in fiscal year 2010 at a cost of about $475 million.
Of course, TVA is still dealing with the December 2008, an impoundment at the plant failed, releasing 1.1 billion gallons (4.2 million m³) of coal fly ash slurry that covered up to 300 acres (1.2 km2) of the surrounding land, damaging homes and flowing into nearby waterways.

Phi Gamma Delta's 55th Ekklesia was held at Hotel Victory, Put-in-Bay, Ohio, Aug. 5-6, 1903. This was the second of three annual conventions held at this site. 159 brothers attended.
This picture is taken on the hotel's front stairs, as was the 1902 picture.

Two Mule Gimmer lambs beautifully poised on a limestone pavement.
I think I'm right in saying that a Mule Gimmer is a cross between a Blue-Faced Leicester tup and a Swaledale and that Mules are bred for the quality of their meat and for hardiness on the fells. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

I bought Ken & Skipper at a garage sale a few weeks ago, with some clothes. Alas, Ken has lost his pants.
For 6 weeks, the mobile radar truck NOXP was stationed at this location on Chambers Mountain that sat high above the Pigeon River basin in the Smokies of North Carolina. The radar truck was supporting the Integrated Precipitation and Hydrology Experiment (IPHEx), a joint experiment between NASA and several other research organizations.
I'm glad I was only involved with the operations and not the actual driving of this behemoth onto and off of the mountain. At the end of the experiment, I traveled back to Norman a few days before this truck was to be moved off the mountain. Conditions at the end of the experiment were very wet, which made the ground extremely soft. After 3 hours of digging it out, the post-doc involved with removing the radar said that the truck had to be backed down to the cattle pen shown in the photo before it could be turned around. Good thing that road isn't heavily traveled!
Put the pepper filled jar back into the water bath and boil for ~10 minutes. Evidently the time varies based on altitude but I'm at sea level. Search the internets for more info.
