The purpose of the Book Week Celebration is to encourage students to become readers through fun and engaging activities that motivates students to appreciate the different kinds of literature the world has to offer - from epic novels to simple newspaper comics.
To kick off the opening of the SFAMSC Book Week, a mini parade where the preschool, grade school, and some intermediate and high school student wore the costumes of their favourite literary and comic characters!
On April 17, 2020, James Victore spoke on our theme PURPOSE for a special virtual event hosted by CreativeMornings/Texas.
This was the first time all the CreativeMornings chapters in Texas will came together for one event including our Austin, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio chapters.

Nissan Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Owned by the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, it is primarily used for football and is the home field of the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League and the Tigers of Tennessee State University.
The purpose of this event was to celebrate the work that pupils in year 7 had done. Their task was to design a new sporting event that cold be included in the future Olympic Games. Pupils had devised a sport and consider things such as health and safety, equipment, rules etc.
The purposes of these photos are to show the progression of the construction of North Point Battle Field State Park. We hope to take photos periodically and post them so everyone can see the progress. These photos we taken on 7/15/14.
There is a lot of space here. And the line of parked cars on the rough gravel could be easily eliminated as all those houses on the other side of the road have lots of off street parking. This is just cheap and nasty. Much better wouldbe two separate paths and some more imaginative landscaping. The scruffy hedges on the right mark the back of the properties on the next street

The Hong Kong Truck Culture
The number of Trucks, Vans* and Special Purpose Vehicles (Light, Medium & Heavy) registered + licenced in Hong Kong seems to fluctuate between 120,000 - 125,000 vehicles and presumably new trucks registered are offset by old trucks being retired or sold over the border in China.
*Vans are classified as Light Goods Vehicles and are not shown in this album
In Hong Kong Trucks are classified as GOODS VEHICLES By the Transport Department - see below
☛Light Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight not exceeding 5.5 tonnes.
☛Medium Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 5.5 tonnes but not exceeding 24 tonnes.
☛Heavy Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 24 tonnes but not exceeding 38 tonnes.
The major truck types you tend to see in urban areas are trucks carrying construction materials or waste, dump trucks, concrete mixers and all sizes of delivery trucks... outside of the urban areas it is container trucks and large trucks carrying construction materials.
The following brands of Trucks can be seen on the streets of Hong Kong and include:-

Isuzu is the market leader in terms of sales volume for all types of trucks.

Soft, on purpose. I've been experimenting. I really liked the way this one turned out when I got it out of the can. The composition was interesting to me, maybe the way the tree divides the background, and I like the colors too. The blues on the tree and in the leaves on the left, seem to frame the bloom along with the color at the top. Sorry, don't mean to be giving my own critique, but I've been studying this one so I'm sharing. I'm very interested to hear if you like it too, or not of course. If you see opportunities for improvement please let me know.

On an earlier (1984) view of CT4101 I asked if this fine rare Robey engine was still going.
Answer - Well, for at least two further years until seen here at the 1986 Carrington Steam Rally.

The purpose of the quilt is to protect my untreated wood table from the heat generated from my laptop. I don't want my lovely table to be burnt by the heat.
I didn't do any measurement at all when making this quilt. I used my fabric remnants & just simply cut then sew without any thinking, without any planning & when it's done, it turns out looking good & very functional.

Church dedicated 5 Nov 1966, architects Cheesman, Doley, Brabham & Neighbour. The windows from the 1862 church were placed together in St Stephen’s chapel. The earlier church was demolished early 1967.
In 1854, Mr. Osmond Gilles, for the purpose of encouraging the erection of a church at Glen Osmond, gave three acres of land at that place for a site for church and parsonage, and conveyed the same to trustees upon certain trusts, for the regulation of the church when built, with a condition that he should have power to nominate the first incumbent At the same time he settled upon the same trustees some allotments of land at Glenelg, bringing about £170 a year, as an endowment for the minister. The deeds were executed and Mr. Platts was nominated as the minister of the new church to be called St. Saviour's, Glen Osmond.” [Advertiser 9 Oct 1858]
“A tea and public meeting in connection with St. Saviour’s Church was held at Mr. Mudie's school room, Glen Osmond, on Monday afternoon, October 14. Between 250 and 300 sat down to an ample tea, after which the tables were cleared away for a public meeting, . . to devise means for the completion of a place of worship which had been commenced sonic time past in connection with the Church of England.” [Adelaide Observer 19 Oct 1861]
“St. Saviour's Church. Glen Osmond. . . this church, the walls of which for several years remained but partially built, but which was sufficiently completed to be used for Divine worship about 18 months ago, is now about to be finished. The windows were filled with calico, but some months since the side windows were superseded by neat stained and ground glass lights. A superior harmonium was also secured for the use of the Church. A short time since an effort was made to raise funds to put in a handsome window in the western end; £15 was collected towards it, when the Hon.
