The purpose of the Book Week Celebration is to encourage students to become readers through fun and engaging activities that motivates students to appreciate the different kinds of literature the world has to offer - from epic novels to simple newspaper comics.
To kick off the opening of the SFAMSC Book Week, a mini parade where the preschool, grade school, and some intermediate and high school student wore the costumes of their favourite literary and comic characters!

The current semester was packed with many events and competitions, providing a platform for students to continuously improve, encourage creative thinking; effective communication, and infusing team spirit among them.
The achievers day was organized on 3rd January 2017 with Dr.T Somasekhar,Chairman, IAGI presiding the event. The program began with Dr. Nagaraj Shenoy, Director IASMS presenting a report on IASMS events 2016 followed by a short video highlighting the major events of the current semester. The most awaited part was the prize distribution. It was very motivating and encouraging for the students to receive the words of appreciation and winners’ certificates from our honorable Chairman. The competitions organized were pick and speak, quiz, debate, product 2030, student presentations and word the picture. The prize distribution was followed by the presidential address by our Chairman, Dr.T Somasekhar who emphasized on the need for management students to take complete responsibility of their lives and stay focused on their goals. The event was indeed encouraging for our students and rewarding their talents and abilities.

The only purpose behind this photos posting is the fact that there is an SD40-3 as a DPU. At the time, I was not aware of how unusual this was, just the fact that it was an EMD among Gevos. Of course none of the SD40-3's are DP equipped, yet with the two Gevos acting as mother units, the whirr of the motor was loud and prominent.

The purpose of this project was to show us how to use the studio lights and use the light meter to set our aperture and shutter speed. It was also so we could understand shadows and how to get rid of them but I used the black background kind of avoiding any shadows.
I chose to use my film camera and some film for my subject because film photography is what got me into taking pictures. About two years ago i was confused on how film pictures worked and how the cameras work so i did research and started shooting film and learned about pretty much everything I could.
I felt like having the film rolls and also a roll of film around the camera would make it better than just having the camera out there. This project was helpful because it taught me how to use the light meter better and also a little bit about lighting.

Two weeks in Europe - the main purpose of this trip was to reconnect with family. So my Tante Gitti and Uwe in Hamburg, my cousin and her family in a small town outside Hamburg, then My Great Aunt Ruth and her daughter Birte in Newied (on the Rhein), then the Dunkels and my Dear Onkel Heinz in Stuttgart (serious schnapps involved here)... and then finally pop over to Vienna to visit my Dad. Amazing trip. And finally - organised one night on my own in Frankfurt - Saturday night - and went and got me some slamming techno before flying home. A beautiful trip. A beautiful country. A beautiful family.

Hong Kong Transport - Trucks
The Hong Kong Truck Culture
The number of Trucks, Vans* and Special Purpose Vehicles (Light, Medium & Heavy) registered + licenced in Hong Kong seems to fluctuate between 120,000 - 125,000 vehicles and presumably new trucks registered are offset by old trucks being retired or sold over the border in China.
*Vans are classified as Light Goods Vehicles and are not shown in this album
In Hong Kong Trucks are classified as GOODS VEHICLES By the Transport Department - see below
☛Light Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight not exceeding 5.5 tonnes.
☛Medium Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 5.5 tonnes but not exceeding 24 tonnes.
☛Heavy Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 24 tonnes but not exceeding 38 tonnes.
The major truck types you tend to see in urban areas are trucks carrying construction materials or waste, dump trucks, concrete mixers and all sizes of delivery trucks... outside of the urban areas it is container trucks and large trucks carrying construction materials.

Hong Kong is a brand conscious place even for trucks (!) hence the popularity of the European brands, Scania and Man are very popular and even the older trucks look the business and they are utterly reliable.
Isuzu is the market leader in terms of sale volume for all types of trucks.
