Sunday afternoon walk

At last an end seems to be in sight of this long wet period of weather!

The dirtier the puddle, the more attractive it is to Yashka.

Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!

While waiting for the inspiration thunderbolt to strike, I looked down in my feet and this is what I saw.....

Took this a while ago posting now for Fence Friday.

from afar, this could be sunset over an ocean. the reality: it’s a puddle in the parking lot of home depot. after getting paint supplies, i walked outside to magical light on ice and puddles. ocean or parking lot, there’s beauty around us. i’m trying to find a bigger perspective.

Yesterday was a fitting introduction to winter with driving rain, 90kmph wind gusts and plummeting temperatures for most of the afternoon and evening. The result of this weather was the rooftop carpark at a shopping centre with plenty of puddles for me to photograph at a low angle. As you can see the darkening cloud presages more rain but at least the wind has largely dropped to something more manageable.

A good day to catch up with a friend for lunch. HCT

i love snow puddles: when snow melts, tattered leaves are revealed. they're tattered yet still rich and beautiful, especially when illuminated by the sun. this reminds me to look inward at my frayed, hidden places—places that need care and illumination.

A Mallard and Wigeon, sharing a muddy puddle at Howard Park. This solitary Wigeon has been on our local park for the last few years and seems to think it is one of the Mallards!

Drove by the gas station and saw a puddle of water on the ground. It was close to sunset so the light and clouds looked nice. Must have been a sight to seeing me squat down at a puddle of water, but sometimes you got to be brave and don't care what others may think :)

Definitely easier to see what's going on if you look at this upside down.....

Thanks for visiting.
