Unedited shot of people reflected in a puddle in Amsterdam. Taken with my Sony HX1. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)
2012 seems to be the year of the puddle, it's raining almost every day, we're all still waiting in vain for Spring to start, while the Summer season is already upon us, officially at least, because that thing going on outside can be called anything but Summer. And yes, I should be ecstatically happy that the best city in the world is drowning, puddles everywhere, yay...or not? Or not, because rain water is just one of the many ingredients needed for a proper wicked reflection shot, and with this gray mess that we see every day where the sky should be, there is no way anybody can make this look pretty or cool...I've tried though, in one of the few sunny moments, I hope you appreciate the effort, lol :D
Have a relaxed Sunday, take it easy :)
I've made a wicked reflection movie of this puddle too, check it out on my YouTube channel, thank you :)

If you are in or around Amsterdam this weekend, come and visit my photo exhibition at the ABC Treehouse, it's called 'Girls! Girls! Girls!', together with the lovely Miss Monyart I'm presenting photos of the beautiful Amsterdam girls! This will be your last chance to meet us at the Treehouse, it's the final weekend and we'll be there one last time this Saturday and Sunday, 13:00 - 18:00...the Gallery is also open on Friday, but we won't be there :)

It's weekend, yay! It's also raining, yay! And it's windy! And cold! Yay! I'm so staying in today, hahaha! Luckily I don't work on Fridays, so I'm saving myself the bike ride through the gray wetness, instead I will look forward to the good things that I expect this weekend to bring me, I'm sure it's gonna be a lovely time spend with beautiful people...too bad weekends don't last 10 days, and the working week only 1 or 2, I'm sure we'd all have a much better life in that way. I blame God, for not having rested any longer than one day, after creating the earth and the Universe and all that...thank you God, for setting such an anti-slacker example for all of us to follow, lol ;-D
Thank God it's Friday!
How often do you get to shop in person for your Pullips? This year PUDDLE had several new vendors in addition to the usual ones offering up a variety of shopping opportunities.
Pale Angel Accessories was back this year with lovely knit and sewn items for Pullips and some other size dolls.

for utata Thursday walk. There's a blocked drain in our street so we get a huge puddle or even a watersplash when it's really bad.
I took this photo a Rose Hill Cemetery in Cumberland, MD. I was actually on a photo shoot at the Cemetery for my Art 435 Photography final assignment. However, the Western Maryland Photographer's Association's photo challenge of the week was "puddles/mud puddles". Here was a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. I got my "puddles" shot plus a possible shot for my "At the Graveyard" final assignment. (Except for tweaking the colors and levels a little this photo was not Photoshopped.)
This is what autumn in London is all about... puddles a small car could sink in... and it's all downhill from here until April or so.

Yesterday was a perfect day to shoot some wicked reflections, puddles everywhere, plenty of people in the streets and some sunshine to frolic up the whole scene a bit, so I kept snapping away and took hundreds of pictures to please your eyes. Of course the poor victims of my puddle rage had no idea what was going on and thought I was just another one of those crazy people that you see everywhere doing their crazy thing in the best city in the world...and they might be right, haha :D

i woke up from the.
best.
birthday.
ever.
and the world shifted, ever so slightly.
a close friend's ex drifts ever closer to the edge.
a family member in law loses his way.
my grandfather nears the end.
reflections on a puddle of mud.
stains brown, all it touches.
light desperately trying to silhouette its beauty.
but the puddle of mud.
is deep, dark and silent.
