My BFF from highschool's birthday is tomorrow so I posed the question to her, "If the rapture comes at 6pm and you eat at 5pm -- is that meal your last supper or a birthday dinner?"
I got a little bored and very played with Topaz in Photoshop on this one since it was super noisy (I had tried to capture the rain falling around it but that didn't work too well...).
Yes! We had rain today! Lovely all-day steady gentle rain! No fear of mudslides or floods. Only grateful acceptance of the moisture soaking into the earth.
During this morning's weather report it was suggested that today would be a good day to stay inside and read. Not me! We had puddles! Time to get outside with a camera! 8-)

2012 seems to be the year of the puddle, it's raining almost every day, we're all still waiting in vain for Spring to start, while the Summer season is already upon us, officially at least, because that thing going on outside can be called anything but Summer. And yes, I should be ecstatically happy that the best city in the world is drowning, puddles everywhere, yay...or not? Or not, because rain water is just one of the many ingredients needed for a proper wicked reflection shot, and with this gray mess that we see every day where the sky should be, there is no way anybody can make this look pretty or cool...I've tried though, in one of the few sunny moments, I hope you appreciate the effort, lol :D
Have a relaxed Sunday, take it easy :)

How often do you get to shop in person for your Pullips? This year PUDDLE had several new vendors in addition to the usual ones offering up a variety of shopping opportunities.
Pale Angel Accessories was back this year with lovely knit and sewn items for Pullips and some other size dolls.
for utata Thursday walk. There's a blocked drain in our street so we get a huge puddle or even a watersplash when it's really bad.
The Friday Night Tea Party in the lobby area is a time to enjoy some tea and admire dolls. There's also some informal selling to indulge in.

Yesterday was a perfect day to shoot some wicked reflections, puddles everywhere, plenty of people in the streets and some sunshine to frolic up the whole scene a bit, so I kept snapping away and took hundreds of pictures to please your eyes. Of course the poor victims of my puddle rage had no idea what was going on and thought I was just another one of those crazy people that you see everywhere doing their crazy thing in the best city in the world...and they might be right, haha :D

If the pretty linear constellation of candles hasn't lent much of a photographic subject matter, the lousy shape of our roads and the pretty gray weather from earlier helped for once ... the little roadside puddles provided beautiful mirrors for the indeterminate rows.

Being in one of my puddle pictures is not necessarily a desirable thing, those unlucky enough to get caught in a wet spot while I'm shooting are doomed to spend the rest of their lives in this unpleasant environment as I don't just capture their image but also their souls. Considering this, these folks still look pretty happy...or maybe they haven't tried yet to return to their normal lives, something they'll find impossible, but of course by that time, I've already fled the scene of my crime and shot the next unlucky people in another random pool of water...anything for Art, mhuahahaha :D
