2012 seems to be the year of the puddle, it's raining almost every day, we're all still waiting in vain for Spring to start, while the Summer season is already upon us, officially at least, because that thing going on outside can be called anything but Summer. And yes, I should be ecstatically happy that the best city in the world is drowning, puddles everywhere, yay...or not? Or not, because rain water is just one of the many ingredients needed for a proper wicked reflection shot, and with this gray mess that we see every day where the sky should be, there is no way anybody can make this look pretty or cool...I've tried though, in one of the few sunny moments, I hope you appreciate the effort, lol :D

It's weekend, yay! It's also raining, yay! And it's windy! And cold! Yay! I'm so staying in today, hahaha! Luckily I don't work on Fridays, so I'm saving myself the bike ride through the gray wetness, instead I will look forward to the good things that I expect this weekend to bring me, I'm sure it's gonna be a lovely time spend with beautiful people...too bad weekends don't last 10 days, and the working week only 1 or 2, I'm sure we'd all have a much better life in that way. I blame God, for not having rested any longer than one day, after creating the earth and the Universe and all that...thank you God, for setting such an anti-slacker example for all of us to follow, lol ;-D

How often do you get to shop in person for your Pullips? This year PUDDLE had several new vendors in addition to the usual ones offering up a variety of shopping opportunities.
Pale Angel Accessories was back this year with lovely knit and sewn items for Pullips and some other size dolls.
On a stormy day, a good pair of boots means a good time playing in puddles of rain.

After jumping in a muddy puddle, Laurel tried to clean her legs with the same sweeping motion she does to cover things up or "tidy" a spill when surprised by someone else.

While I was down in Anaheim for a conference, I had the opportunity to go down to Newport Beach with some friends. Most of them were runners out for their weekly run. I opted to take photos all along the pier and caught sunset. Needless to say, it did not disappoint. The cherry on top was this little girl jumping in the puddle, seemingly oblivious to the brilliance of the setting sun. Hope it brings a smile to your face. :)

Being in one of my puddle pictures is not necessarily a desirable thing, those unlucky enough to get caught in a wet spot while I'm shooting are doomed to spend the rest of their lives in this unpleasant environment as I don't just capture their image but also their souls. Considering this, these folks still look pretty happy...or maybe they haven't tried yet to return to their normal lives, something they'll find impossible, but of course by that time, I've already fled the scene of my crime and shot the next unlucky people in another random pool of water...anything for Art, mhuahahaha :D

My wife & I took a hike up to Faery Falls (near Mt. Shasta) yesterday along a trail that was pretty well covered with mud puddles & snow a good portion of the way.
