These butterflies are puddling. The term puddling refers to the process in which butterflies 'sip' from puddles of water on the ground. Many species of butterflies gather on the ground to take in water and nutrients. At the muddy or sandy puddle the butterfly sips water rich in mineral salts and other essential nutrients that have leached from the surrounding soil and rocks. Male butterflies do more puddling than females.

Puddles, puddles, everywhere! Yesterday, I stopped by my partners Digital24.pl where they put the new Canon Polska 6D Mark II with a SIGMA ART 20mm 1.4 in my hands to work with (THANK YOU!!). And holy ^&#$ this beast rocks! For those that do not know, this is Canons latest full-frame DSLR that comes five years after the release of the original 6D. You will see lots of images from this little beast and a review on the gear soon...so stay tuned! In the meantime..... So far...so GREAT!
And while I am heading home, here is a nice moment form the tram stop.
