I'm currently busy designing a bunch of breadboard widgets. Namely, small pcb's that you can use while developing circuits on a breadboard. Final version should have enough widgets to fill an entire eurocard without making duplicates. This is the first test (call it alpha release ;)) As soon as I have tested all the widgets I'll release the schematics and pcb files. This board contains:
avr isp connector
5v power supply
max232 level shifter
firmware usb
led board
more information and widgets coming soon. btw, if you can think of more widgets let me know.
p.s - this is also the first board that I tried to tin. doesn't look too bad.
p.s.s I'll take better photos with my camera at a later time.
Prototype/mockup in plasticard of Parlakimidi Light Railway / South East India Railways PL class 0-6-4T for a planned 009 kit by Invercloy Loco Works.
This was an early proof of concept prototype made in August, 2007 - it concentrated 10 suns and worked pretty well.
For more info, go to Morgan Solar's website.
CSX2000 was the first prototype Cobra, produced in 1962.
The rolling chassis, in bare aluminum, was shipped from AC Cars Ltd. in Thames-Ditton to Shelby's small facility in Santa Fe Springs CA, where it was fitted with Ford's all-new, thin-wall cast 260 V8.
The results were spectacular! The Cobra was lightweight and fast, and proved to be very successful on the racetracks of North America and Europe.

In 1981, the U.S. had a large reserve of silver in its stockpiles. Silver prices were rising. And a few hard-money advocates suggested the US should do something with this silver.
Enter our old friend Conrad J. Braun - riding high on the early success of Gold Standard Corporation. Conrad was pushing for hard money and seigniorage-free silver. Idaho, as a major producer of silver, could be expected to be fully behind this concept.
So this set was produced to promote the idea before influential politicians - and which actually came to fruition a few years later as the Silver Eagle bullion coin.
But in 1981, a young Representative from Idaho named Larry E. Craig was the only politician to voice this support. On 11/13/1981 Craig proposed H.R. 4965 the Free Market Silver Dollar Act.
No one else thought it was a good idea and Braun and Craig's lovely little idea was shuffled off to the Subcommittee on Consumer Affairs and Coinage,
Braun later went to prison for fraud. I wonder whatever happened to the nice, warm congressman from Idaho . . . .

Prototype doll is on the left production doll is on the right. You can see the difference in color pretty well in this picture.
The G.12 was designed as a civil aircraft, but served mainly in military roles during the war. Only a limited number (30) were built, some as late as 1944, after the Italian armistice, the G.12 inspired the postwar G.212 "Flying Classroom", the last Italian three-engine transporter. Picture from the Pullip Complete Style Book, possible March Hare prototype? I can see why this one potentially didn't get released but with a more subdued color palette I think she would have potential.

"The first prototype was used in the early steps of this process. First, extra cooling vents were built into the rear fenders, and large scoops mounted behind the side windows to draw air into the radiators. The ordinary doorhandles the first car had worn were replaced by concealed ones in NACA ducts, and various windscreen wiper setups were tested, including one set of dual wipers, before the final characteristic single blade was settled on."
D0226 was one of two prototype diesel shunting locomotives built in 1956 by English Electric at its Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows to demonstrate its wares to British Railways. They originally carried numbers D226 and D227, their Vulcan Foundry works numbers, but these were later amended to avoid clashing with the numbers of new Class 40 locomotives.
They were both of 0-6-0 wheel arrangement and were fitted with English Electric 6RKT engines of 500 hp. They were painted black with an orange stripe along the middle of the bodyside, which turned into a 'V' at the nose end. The major difference between the two locomotives was that D0226 had diesel-electric transmission and D0227 had diesel-hydraulic transmission.
BR tested both locomotives at its Stratford depot in East London. D0227 was scrapped but D0226 has been preserved at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. It is seen here on Christmas day 2010 performing loco repositioning work with a BR standard 2-6-4T, 80002 at the main loco yard in Haworth.
A really clean interior, with great working space along either side of the stretcher. Prototype currently veiwable at the Design Museum in London. The original concept work can be seen at:

This is a Paper Bicycle frame built up with WorkCycles FR8 parts.
Henry and I were seeing whether it made sense for Njiland, the people who build the FR8, to also build the Paper Bicycle.
I decided however to build in house, and now it would seem odd not to.
An anonymous paper prototype/idea. Each workshopper responded to one of the best ideas from their team brainstorm, using any of the various materials I provided.
many of the ideas considered geolocation, personalising the Gormley figures, engaging young children, various "Where's Wally" ideas and many more brilliant ideas.
