This is mostly for Jared and Jason, but I'm too lazy to restrict it.. ;)
Eventually, this will be in a glove and you can just run your finger over a framed canvas of your old tapes. This is Rotund for Success by Severed Heads.

going to studio and telling your friends that you got your materials (bamboo skewers) from the asian grocer is like the AA students who try to be special by using the pasta to create new facade......is cliche but it works and is way cheaper than buying materials from the art store
oh and note... NO GLUE! ha!

My first thoughts on Prototype were, “WOW! So this is where Crackdown 2 got it’s inspiration from.”. Seriously, every new element of Crackdown 2 (helicopters, flying, infected mobs, you name it) feels like it was ripped straight out of this game. To make matters worse (for Crackdown 2), Prototype does it much better.
While I’m not entirely sure what happened story wise, I had a grand old time with Prototype as I literally tore across New York City leaving nothing but destruction in my wake.
NYC has fallen victim to some form of viral outbreak which is quickly contaminating the entire city. Citizens are turning into infected hordes, but lucky for you, you possess the power to slice your way through the crowds like a hot knife through butter as well as pound on the military might which is pursuing you with a vengeance. Unfortunately, your memory is gone so how exactly you got these powers will remain a mystery until the game’s plot unfolds.
Controlls are a bit janky, but there is so much exploding chaos that it hardly matters. Precision jumping can be tricky at times, and you’ll decapitate a few dozen innocent bystanders here and there accidently, but that of thing is bound to happen when you have mutating super-powers surging through your veins.
An odd thing with Prototype is that it’s the first game where I didn’t go out of my way to avoid these accidental, civilian deaths. While I normally play the role of Mr. Nice Guy, something about Prototype’s main character caused me to not give a shaq-fu about anyone but myself. I wasn’t going out of my way to intentionally terrorize the city, but when the opportunity did arise I grasped it with two, fully mutated hands.
Speaking of mutated hands, after some crucial upgrades you are able to rip through the city without every touching the ground. A combination of jumping, gliding will keep you airborne and over the heads of most threats. Of course you could always choose to just consume any one of the many citizens of NYC, innocent or not, and assume their form as a disguise allowing you to walk amongst the crowds undetected. There are a few of these ‘stealth’ missions in the game, but for the most part you won’t be hiding your super powers from anyone.
There are quite a few different moves at your disposal. You’ll have to unlock the bulk of them, and it did feel like a bit of a grind at times, but the upgraded payoff is well worth the effort. After some upgrades you been smashing tanks as if they were made of tinfoil.
I paid $10 for the game (from Gamefly) and at that price, I’ll rate it a 10 out of 10! There is a ton to do in the game with a chunky campaign and plenty of side missions. Achievement Hunters take note though, the game is pretty stingy with achievements. At 9hrs into the game I had a measly 210gs to show for it.
To answer the age old question, Prototype or inFAMOUS- I have to give the nod to inFAMOUS. inFAMOUS comes off as a more polished and slick game, but that doesn’t mean Prototype is any chump. Hell, I’d love to see the main characters from both games go up against each other in some epic Ultimate Fighter sort of event.
Prototype is a straight up action game and while not terribly deep or engrossing it is one helluva ride. There are tons of upgrades and missions, and leaping from helicopter to helicopter (while smashing their occupants in the process) is a joy that needs to be experienced first hand to really be appreciated. There’s a bit of grinding in order to level up, but there are orbs & collectibles to keep you distracted while doing so.
Good times, good show
Action Man Prototype, 1966-84
Palitoy
GI Joe and Action Man launched soon after Barbie and Sindy dolls, on the same 1/6 scale, and with similiarly idealised physiques and full wardrobe. Unlike earlier toy soldiers, Action Man had articulated limbs - the mechanism is visible in this prototype. His rugged appearance was completed with a scar on his cheek and flocked facial hair.

Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear
(March 2022 to November 2022)
At a moment of unprecedented creativity in men's fashion and reflection on gender, this exhibition explored how designers, tailors and artists – and their clients and sitters – have constructed and performed masculinity, and unpicked it at the seams.
...The exhibition showcases the variety of possible masculinities across the centuries from the Renaissance to the global contemporary: from looks by Gucci, Harris Reed, Grace Wales Bonner and Raf Simons, to paintings by Sofonisba Anguissola and Joshua Reynolds, contemporary artworks by David Hockney and Omar Victor Diop, to an extract from an all-male dance performance by Matthew Bourne's New Adventures.
The exhibition presents around 100 looks alongside 100 artworks, displayed thematically across three galleries, Undressed, Overdressed, and Redressed.
Undressed explores the male body and underwear, looking at how classical European ideals of masculinity have been perpetuated and challenged over the centuries. Plaster casts of the Apollo Belvedere and the Farnese Hermes – which highlight a tradition of depicting idealised male bodies draped in textiles that reveal more than they conceal – will be juxtaposed with fashion by Jean-Paul Gaultier and A-COLD-WALL*, and prints and photography by Lionel Wendt, Zanele Muholi and Isaac Julien.

Ok so the top one I got at BrickCon in the "Rare Colors Box" at the BA booth. I was curious about it being a proto so I compared it to the one on GI Brick's website. Here is what I found..... Its not just the color its also the shape and length!!!! The top one does not have a line around it.... The bottom one is less cone-like than the top!!!! FOR ALL OF YOU WHO BOUGHT THESE YOU ARE NOW A PROUD OWNER OF A BRICKARMS PROTOTYPE!!!!!!!!
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong ;P

We prototyped how our audience would feel after playing our game. Prototyping is important. This is how we hope people will feel after playing.
Scania L94/CR224L #3269 is on route 834A to Verdun Junction, seen here nearing the roundabout through the trees.
this was the mockup i did before the real thing..it's a lot rougher, and more abused than the real ones.. looks kinda cool anyway, though, methinks.
yay.rah. :)

I've been working on a prototype lasercut extruder based on the excellent work by Ian Adkins. Its functional, but I'd like to increase the efficiency before releasing it to the general public. Prototype/mockup in plasticard of Parlakimidi Light Railway / South East India Railways PL class 0-6-4T for a planned 009 kit by Invercloy Loco Works.
As an owner of prototypes, I feel that it is necessary to review them so they can be improved for production.
Derringer: this pistol really has a lot of detail for being so small. There are a lot of applications that this can be used for.
TD-9: really neat. I like the compactness of it.
Shotgun Shell: nothing to complain about. The overmolding process shows its beauty here.
Kar98: I can't wait for this to be released so I can properly arm my Germans. Excellent design.
Panzerfaust: good, but not too different from the RPG.
M1A1 Carbine Stock: I like it a lot. My only complaint is that it is odd for a minifig to grip it.
Flintlock-v2 and v1: definite improvements with the v2. Not much else to be said.
SABR: very similar to the trench gun. Still very nice.
Kukris: both versions are good, but tactical is better to me.
JFLR: nice design. I wish the barrel were not triangular though.
Podgun: one of my favorites. So simple, yet so fit to a minifig.
Coreburner: I am just truely not a fan of this one. It seems too detailed to be compatible with Lego.
MG34 V2: I like the V1 more for versatility, not that this one is bad.
Voight-Kampf Machine: my favorite. Not a thing bad about it. This little bugger could blend in as a lego piece In alot of creations. Too bad this item will probaly never be produced.
