Former prototype Metro 4001 at Felling.

The cowling over the coupler was originally black at the test track, not the maroon seen here.

Prototyping field boards on the ROV bus board ... Nothing really special here but I liked the picture.

At Davison, we help build ideas into products. Here, a designer works on building a client's prototype.

This was made to discuss with a client before starting work in photoshop

The prototype DELTIC on show outside the Shildon branch of the National Railway Museum .

last night i worked up this cover for those amazing little moleskin notebooks. personally, i always carry a moleskin in my pocket and i love them.

i made about five prototypes with paper just to get the size right and this is the first one i made with vinyl. i'm almost 100% happy with it. the main problem is that because of the stitching there is more overhang than desired. this wouldn't be bad except for the fact that if you want to use the elastic strap it bends the top and bottom edges of the cover and that just doesn't sit well with me.

so, i need your help. if you were as dedicated to moleskins as i am would it bother you to not use the elastic strap at all? basically, i'm curious if losing the strap would keep you from buying an artsy cover for your moleskin.

The original prototype Hawk aircraft. Now at the Boscombe Down Aviation Museum at Old Sarum, near Salisbury, England.

On 21 August 1974 this aircraft first took to the sky from RAF Valley.

This is the 'prototype' that I had originally designed in LDD. I was originally planning to buy this and the Wolfen, but when I discovered how horribly expensive they were, I decided to build them with parts I already had and to buy parts I needed from Bricklink. This didn't change quite as much as the Wolfen, but it still improved a bit. The reason there is no canopy is that the piece I planned to use did not exist in LDD, so I had planned all along to use one from my collection.

Made by hand from a piece of angle iron. Removed a bunch of material, but still looking for a better way to make it lighter. Could stand to be a little less bombproof.
