Greater Manchester's first Olympian, prototype B45-05 to the unititiated, looks a shadow of its former self and very forlorn following the removal of its Firestone HELP bumper.
It had been moved from Queens Road depot, where it had spent all its working life to the Charterplan unit at Charles Street, Stockport in the mid nineties where it operated schools contracts and local tendered work. It is pictured in that location in 1995 looking in need of a visit from a paintbrush and a bit of general TLC.
The last five of the 21 prototype standards had dual door bodywork, a layout still in vogue in 1972. The staircase was moved rearwards but otherwise the Northern Counties body differed ittle from their single doored bretheren.
The Fleetline chassis for these buses came from an outstanding Rochdale order and was numbered EX19 in the experimental series when new. At the end of 1972 all the EX numbered buses were renumbered into the existing ex municipal series, this one becoming 6254 in the Rochdale sequence.
Petworks prototype seen at this week's IFFDC Convention in Vegas. No production date yet and no price, but I will say she is adorable!
London buses of the 1980s and 1950s are represented in this view of Leyland Titan T 567 in its early 1990s London Buses livery and prototype Routemaster RM 2 in its 1957 London Transport Country Area green livery. Back in the late 1980s London Northern had an allocation of Leyland Titans based at the former Chalk Farm (CF) and Muswell Hill (MH) bus garages but when these two garages closed the Titans briefly operated out of Holloway (HT) bus garage before being sold to Merseybus as well as to the likes of some of the other smaller independent bus operators in the Liverpool area such as GTL as a result of the post-deregulation 'Bus Wars' in Merseyside back in the early to mid-1990s.
This is one of the few clear case prototypes known to exist. There were usually 10 or less clear case prototypes of each model made during the design process. They were used by engineers to check for fit of internal components.
Nearly all plastic case components are clear plastic, including the handle & internal mounts for components. There is no serial number on the case & also none on the motherboard. The colored Apple logo insets are not present, although the space for them is. The case has some very minor differences than the production model (a few extra plastic bits here & there).

Gosh. I forget how pretty Daisy is... she still takes my breath away.

gotta verify the gauge...
Far right claw is production ABS, the rest are 3D-printed original prototypes.
Unlike the Witch Doctor mask, these are painted.
One of each of the M110's that I got. These are super cool, but I just realized that the bottom right's doesn't really match.. It is probably the crappiest figure I've put together to showcase. Whatever.. Lol
Comments and feedback are highly appreciated!

This device does not boot or power up on its own, but requires connection to a Macintosh equipped with a specialized NuBus card.
Unnamed experimental weapon system.
"Devoid of any curiosity." - Tara Farrynheim Sho
A powerful weapon system that combines the might of three MGR-8s and a modified M4 rifle.
Its primary weapon fires 40mm grenades, either semi-automatically with rechambering every 3 rounds, or firing three shots at once in a trident spread pattern.
The secondary weapon is a truncated M4 with a electronic trigger pull system attached, which also serves as a side-mounted grip for handling and the reloading. (The grip is visually obstructed by the weapon.)
It has not received a name after its completion, thus earning the temporary name "Nameless Prototype" to indicate its lack of creativity.
About one month later, a unknown red meteor struck the weapon storage room and contaminated the Nameless Prototypes. It gave the weapon a fiendish pattern of red scars and cacophonic engravings, as well as the number 999 on top of the grenade launcher heat shield. This incident has given it the codename "Hexer 999", and was placed in Radioactive Quarantine for storage. (This version is not included in this picture.)
Incendiary grenades now produce a pillar of fire upon impact, and any rifle round will now explode on impact when fired from the newly mutated Hexer 999.
EDITOR'S NOTE: This is something to keep you busy as I wait for PMG 0.7 to be freed up of any request weapon.
...That, and the fact that I'm bored as all hell.

A productive afternoon making art together at Pataphysical Studios.
Doctors Canard and Rindbrain completed an illuminated painting that is constantly changing, as the light box around it cycles through the colors of the rainbow. This creates an ethereal experience, as the brush strokes quietly shimmer and transform, to the sound of Brian Eno’s Music for Airports (see video: vimeo.com/151282015 ). Nicely done, doctors!
Our visitors this week were Michael Easton and his son Kyan, who seemed to enjoy themselves. A friend of Dr. Figurine’s, Michael is quite an accomplished artist, inventor and engineer and showed us some of his cool creations, including magical mushroom lights inspired by this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5LjGFkpApw
Doctor Fabio showed a Chinese New Year wonderbox prototype he is building for his upcoming maker workshops (bit.ly/wonderbox-overview ). Doctors Really and Igor worked on bringing sound to more wonderboxes. Dr. Rindbrain showed his new Universe cards about Mamie. Dr. Figurine worked on a Neopixel badge for her lab coat. Doctor Zboon showed some of his new pataphysical talismans. A fine time was had by all.

TEH918 LK58CPU seen at Edgware starting on route 32, towards Kilburn Park.
This bus was previously painted with green leaves, to advertise that it was hybrid, along with 11 other prototypes. It uses the hybrid system, BAE, which is one of the best systems, proving that this hybrid was successful and reliable, leading to their production version being sold in hundreds.
This year, this bus will turn 10 years old, which sometime, it'll have to complete a MOT test. If it fails, then it has to be scrapped.
The first of the time bomb (timed explosive) prototypes. The timer is molded separately, and press-fit into a recess on top. The reverse side features a stud-sized hole to allow ti to attach to tother things.
These are two new figures which I have created for the Creations for Charity event, and should be up on the site very soon!
A GREAT BIG THANKS to Will Chapman of BrickArms for his generous donation for these figures!
de Havilland DH98 Mosquito prototype W4050 (E0234) preserved at the de Havilland Aircraft Museum, Salisbury Hall, London Colney - the site of its original design and construction and close to Hatfield where it's first flight took place on 25th November 1940. This aircraft is particularly unique as it’s extremely rare for an original prototype of a WWII era combat aircraft to survive to this day.
One of the most versatile aircraft of WWII, the mosquito was originally conceived as an unarmed fast bomber, but was adapted into many roles and proved equally effective as a tactical bomber, high-altitude night bomber, pathfinder, day or night fighter, fighter-bomber, intruder, maritime strike aircraft, and fast photo-reconnaissance aircraft.
