The manatee appeared to have a fresh watercraft related injury on its lower back, and it looked to be buoyant with a slight list.

When I signed up for this class, I was determined to be involved each week. Somehow, the weeks have come and gone, life has happened in between, and here I am, feeling desperately behind and out of touch. I know there's no pressure or guilt here, but nonetheless, I am disappointed in myself. I know there are still many weeks to come, so I hope to be able to get back in the swing of things! I do miss you all!

i am drawing these constantly. There is something incredibly engaging to my mind about a propellor driven flying motorbike. i'm weird like that. Never mind that the torque of the motor would probably send the pilot into 'frappé.'

I was chatting with a friend at our camera club this evening. He is also doing a 365 this year and he was telling me about how he had taken loads of pictures but just didn't like what he got. This happens to me all the time...and of course, I got home after camera club and hit the exact same problem.
I had a great idea for this picture...but couldn't get it to work no matter what, but as I explained to my friend, the very fact that you have got the camera out and tried means you have succeeded...you won't produce an award winner every day (week/month or year in my case ;-) ), but that is unrealistic. The aim of these 365 projects (for me at least) is to keep me photographing...if I stop, then I barely get the camera out, and that's a bad thing!
So - you may (or may not based on this first effort!) see this car and its green Porsche friend in upcoming shots...fingers crossed!
2/28/2011:
Today, another shot from the Old Cotton Mill in Mc Kinney, TX. This is a bicycle that photographers who use the building for photo shoots can use as a prop. There is also a really cool green couch set up in this building that someone was using for a bridal shoot the day I was there so I could not get a shot of it.
