this one was a fun one but i have been distracted with a new place and have not put the time into this one. it is a great reminder how easy it is to be in front of the camera when you are not alone...even if it's not a person but an object of some sort. =]

I found this at Salvation Army years back just for this purpose. Is it a brandy snifter? I saw it and immediately thought ‘Barbie’ prop!
The ‘cake’ I used a cutter on a slice of pound cake and tried to make it look pretty! Ehh ... I ate after the pic so!! I do need party finger foods!! 😂😂😂
Over the years I have collected props...Most of them from garage sales. I like using them for photographing kids...Little boys and girls like cowboy hats, and the girls love sitting in this pink vintage petticoat from the 50's. I have used the suede jacket and cowgirl boots for children as well as adults. Found them at an old movie prop house...Nothing cost more than five dollars...Including the chair!
What kid doesn't like to dress up?

The St Croix Valley is indeed scenic. A pair of wanna-be SD40-2s with flare roll north past a road-sign along route 61 just south of Hinckley.
The New Smyrna Beach Airport is right on US Hwy 1, south of the Daytona Beach area, and many smaller aircraft fly out of there. The Chrysler dealership is just a little bit south of it, and I pass by when I get oil changes. On my last visit, this great old prop lane was sitting close to the road, luring me to capture its image!
I don't know much about planes, but it looks to me to be a 1950's commercial plane of some sort, in pretty good condition for its age. Since I'm a 1950's version, too, I have to admit that it's probably in better shape than I am!
I hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend!

Bought a bunch of Barbie props for about ¢25 apiece, which adds up surprisingly quickly! Somehow a large part of them turned out to be more or less green, and at least two of them look like they could easily be modified by a thrifty Barbie into some kind of water pipe. Particularly the yellowish green bottle with its molded “crazy” squiggly line pattern (although due to an unfortunate oversight by Mattel it doesn’t actually seem to glow in the dark).
I had to have the green keyboard since (apart from the color) it looks exactly like the ergonomic keyboard I used for many years and still kind of miss. The round green coffee pot looks exactly like the one my mum has (also apart from the color). Great for my 1/6 scale office. Althought my favorite is probably the weird little thing I bought out of curiosity since it only showed up as a blurry blue square in the photo, and which turned out to be an open tin of frighteningly green oolated squiggs.
Yeah, I am not sure what this is about...
The Rolling Acres Mall opened in 1975 with a single anchor store, Sears. A series of expansions over the years brought new wings, a second level, and new anchors (the Montgomery Ward then Higbee's then Dillard's then Dillard's Outlet store, the O'Neil's then May Company then Kaufmann's then Macy's store, the JCPenney then JCPenney Outlet then JC's Five Star Outlet store, and Target). Over time all of the stores closed the last being JC's Five Star Outlet at the end of 2013. The interior of the Rolling Acres mall shut down in 2008.

This is from a shoot we did with Pistolita. We are loving living in Oregon and shooting with all this nature is amazing. I've been wanting to use my Land Camera as a prop too so this was perfect.

Thought I would try some HDR processing on the image of the broken groyne at East Head, West Sussex.
Warner Bros. Studios Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter is a public attraction in Leavesden in southeastern England. It is a permanent behind the scenes exhibit of the Harry Potter films.
The Studio Tour, opened to the public in early 2012. The grand opening event was attended by many of the Harry Potter film series cast and crew members.
Each tour session typically lasting three hours, the studio tour has the capacity to handle 6,000 visitors daily. Despite Warner Bros. being the studio behind Harry Potter, the tour is styled as a theme park, due to the fact that Warner Bros. sold the licence to do so to both Warner Bros. and Universal Studios.
Though the standard tour is self-guided, various guided tours are available at an additional cost.
It only includes sets, props and costumes that were actually created for or used in the production of the Harry Potter film series.
Almost twenty years after the complex was converted from aerodrome to film studios—and over a year since the completion of work on the newly refurbished studios—the site was officially opened by the Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge on 26 April 2013. On their visit, they were accompanied by the Duke's brother Prince Harry and J. K. Rowling (who had been unable to attend the tour's grand opening the year before), amongst other guests. Several hundred beneficiaries of supported charities were given invitations to the Studio Tour on the day of the visit. The royal entourage visited both the tour and the studios, viewing the props and costumes from Christopher Nolan's Batman films, before conducting the site's inauguration.
