Universal opened up a new shop in the park, selling movie props from their studios. It was an awesome shop, and yes, I did buy something. Each of these horror character busts are $550.00, and no, I didn't buy one of these, lol.
I picked up this little sled for $5 at a botique store. First time using it, and was blessed with a super sleepy little guy!
I know it is far to early to be thinking about Christmas......but I was in 'The Range' today in the Christmas aisles and I found this wonderful fence decoration!

I've had my eye on this farmstead and silo just south of New Albin for years, and the timing was finally right to work it into a shot.
A 644 sand empty leads a pair of morning southbounds on the Marquette sub. In a few more miles they will take the siding at Kanes to do a crew change and let a following train overtake them.

I found this outside a film production lot that's always full of interesting vehicles… doesn't seem like someone would be driving this rust bucket around. Neat car anyway, a Ford Galaxie 500 from the late 60's / early 70's.

The R-1820 Cyclone 9 represented a further development of the Wright P-2 engine dating back to 1925. Featuring a greater displacement and a host of improvements, the R-1820 entered production in 1931. The engine remained in production well into the 1950s.
The R-1820 was built under license by Lycoming, Pratt & Whitney Canada, and also, during World War II, by the Studebaker Corporation. The Soviet Union had purchased a license for the design, and the Shvetsov OKB was formed to produce the engine as the M-25. In Spain the R-1820 was license-built as the Hispano-Suiza 9V or Hispano-Wright 9V.[1]
The R-1820 was at the heart of many famous aircraft including the early Douglas airliners (prototype DC-1, the DC-2, earliest civilian versions of the DC-3, and the limited-production DC-5), B-17 Flying Fortress, and SBD Dauntless bombers, the early versions of the Polikarpov I-16 fighter (as M-25), and the Piasecki H-21 helicopter

The old toaster and snuff bottle are no longer used for what they were designed for. These are now used exclusively for photo props.

An old whatever car sits outside of a shop along the CP's Chicago Subdivision west of Davis Junction. The Central of Georgia heritage motor was slowly rolling east with CP train 472.

Change of location for yesterdays photos due tot the house being used as it should be instead of everyone going off into separate rooms to do our own thing.
I have discovered however that our actual bedroom is not very good for taking photos.
And here is my boxing day outfit in all its glory.
My nails are acrylic nail extension that were done by my daughter. she does them for me over a shield that enables them to be removed and reused. this set stayed on four days before i popped one off this morning (they are meant to pop of) clearing helens rooms.
A new year is rapidly approaching and a very different world we are entering is just on the horizon. What it means for us is unclear in this ever fought over no mans land between male and female where our validity is questioned.
