A coastal resiliency project, funded by the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Trust Fund, aims to reduce shoreline erosion on a tidal marsh area located on the west side of the Verrazano Bridge, adjacent to the park’s boat ramp and fishing pier.
The project seeks to construct a series of 10 headland structures to dissipate wave energy created during large coastal storm events. The nature-based structures will consist of boulders, cobble and clean sand, which will then be planted with native wetland vegetation.

I don't usually approach the station from this side. But this morning a neighbour stopped and gave me a lift and dropped me on the other side of the train line. I noticed a few days ago that they appear to be creating a new path (or paths, one each side) from the street to the platform.

The blueberry hermit crab made the switch into a donated turbo shell (Miller #174). Hermit crabs do not prefer plastic they are just adapting with what is available

"aiyah, my bags have travelled the world with me - from san francisco to shanghai. but the only photo i've found (for now) in which the bag is visible is this one in front of the st joseph's cathedral in hanoi.
this is one of my favourite bags and i've taken it on many travels - it matches my pink crocs! heh heh. abang and i were in hanoi in may for 6 days, and this photo was taken just before we stumbled upon Ipa-Nima (have a photo of myself in front of the shop with this bag, but you can barely see the bag, so useless lah).
anyway, this is a GREAT idea, and it's ABOUT TIME that you put this together!

Hard to choose a favourite from the images I took of Vica but this is probably it. When I've gotten round to processing them I'll stick the rest online too.

Our wedding rings. They are battered and scratched but still mean just as much. That's why I titled this "Tried and True"
The Institute for Communication and Religion Presents The Living Word Project: An evening of interfaith student poetry performances. Hosted on November 14th, 2019, the event included poetry, dance, song and musical interpretations of the experience of faith.
The Clothesline Project, sponsored by the Jamestown AAUW, attempts to address the issue of violence against women. Participants are encouraged to express their emotions through writing a message on a T-shirt.
At Waterloo railway station, about to get a train to Surrey to visit friends. Two more travel days after this one before I am on the plane home.

Project 365 Day 365...
and back to the place it began. This mighty old oak was the subject of my first P365 picture and it seemed to be the fitting end to my first year. It's been a wonderful adventure. I've learned so much from all of you! The best part is I've made good friends along the way. Thank you for your encouragement, support and comments. I hope to see you all in P365 - 2008!

I bought this odd looking unfinished cabinet project from a thrift store mainly to get these two drawers. I put on 3 coats of Minwax Classic Gray stain and then let dry for one week. The reason that I wanted these was to use them as gardening starter trays. It's still too cold at night to leave plants out, so I take them out in the morning and bring them back at night.
It’s time to convert to winter mode. Not too bad since we got to near the end of October and there still hasn’t been a huge snowfall and I was able to rock the summers up until today. Day 20 is a sad day.
