4 image panoramic stitch of a supercell thunderstorm in Myrtle Beach, SC. Take from the balcony of our condo. And I did not even have to chase this one which was a change. Dropping 1 inch hail and showing signs of a tornado on radar.

Here i tried to capture the creepy/ghostly feeling the night has.

Intention: For this succession of photos, I wanted to show off a bold amount of contrast simply follow the rule of 3rds to focus more on the change in ISOs.

Text Reference: When reading The Photographer’s Eye, Freeman details different concepts of contrast, I used the example image for “Contrasty” to balance high contrast against opposing tones. (Chapter 2. Design Basics, Contrast)

Outcome: I think the distressed red tones and textures aide well in showing off contrast against the skull’s cream tones.

Edits: Exposure correction

Double exposure with technical camera on 5x4" negative.

Interior photo with natural and artificial light taken in the evening.

The monochromatic scheme of this photograph allows the element of texture to stand out. The movement of the fur appears coarse and sharp which is in contrast to the softness of the material being photographed.

1. Stop Motion

Intention: Capture an image where the motion of the running waterfall is frozen in time.

Reading: The reading indicated that using a high shutter speed was necessary

Edit: Brought up shadows, dodged waterfall, moved green hues toward yellow and yellow hues towards orange.

Outcome: I would have liked to have used a higher shutter speed, but I got to my destination late in the day so 1/500 was the best I could do without going overboard on ISO or sacrificing DOF. The result successfully froze the motion of the waterfall with proper exposure, a solid balance of foreground/background, and a structured arrangement regarding rule of thirds.

I decided to look at one of the most talked about person these days, Donald Trump. My second choice is Leonardo Da Vinci, who I have always tried to emulate because he excelled at so many different arts and in different fields of science and I really like the fact that he fused both of them. Lastly, Tia Torres is a very inspiring person to me because of her work in rescuing dogs.

One of my favorite things to do when shooting is look for areas of great contrast and repetition. I personally find it pleasing to the eye. I like the neutral grey and pops of bright green here. I then darkened this image in editing to create a more defined look.
