Intention: The goal I had in mind when creating and composing this photo was to capture the repetitive and rhythmic circular wiring to establish dynamic tension.
Text Reference: Freeman in The Photographer’s Eye describes rhythm as something that “creates momentum and activity.” (Ch.2 Design Basics; Dynamic Tension)
Outcome: It is fairly busy to look at, I think when it comes to dynamic tension it shows a great amount of shape and contrast.
Edits: Minimal cropping, Contrast boost, Black and White, slight sharpening and grain boost, minimal vignetting.
2. Blur Motion
Intention: Capture the flowing motion of the waterfall in a single, still image.
Reading: The reading indicated a slower shutter speed was necessary to capture movement.
Edit: Combined two images to capture motion and still maintain proper exposure. Dodged up waterfall, moved yellow hues towards orange.
Outcome: Successfully capture the motion of the moving waterfall.
