Slow progress, despite being on CV19 lockdown, on the 1/48 Blenheim. The interior is coming along though.
The interior eau de nil green shade is a homemade mix, and dry brushed with Tamiya sky to bring out the highlights. Now it's all had a coat of gloss varnish once that's dry I'll add a dark wash.
Louisville, Colorado. So long beautiful grassland. It's time to replace you with over-sized houses, asphalt, and watered lawns. Ryland is building these homes.
It makes me think of what Agent Smith said in the Movie The Matrix:

Been visiting my old home town over the Easter break. It was lovely to see so much effort, money and resources poured into town. Everywhere I looked in the town center, buildings were being cleaned up and the place was looking more respectable than I've ever seen it. There seemed to be a sense of civic pride that I'd not detected before. Even on the outskirts, former slums are being torn down and replaced by new housing estates that really seem to change the whole feel of the place.
But unfortunately you don't have to go too far to find the places that are forgotten by the town planners. This picture was taken in a part of West Yorkshire that has suffered its fair share of problems as long as I can remember. From my recent glimpse at the place it seems that some things are slow to change....
Through the Nádasdy family, the castle of Sárvár, now called Nádasdy Castle, played a significant role in the progress of Hungarian culture in the 16th and 17th centuries. The first Hungarian book, The New Testament of 1541, was printed here. The knight's hall of the castle is decorated with the battle scenes of Lord Chief Justice Ferenc Nádasdy (married to the notorious Elizabeth Báthory) and with scenes from the Old Testament.
The Nádasdy Castle and estate later became a property of the kings of Bavaria, and the former King Ludwig III died there in 1921, three years after being deposed.[4] The last owner who was expropriated in 1945 was Prince Franz of Bavaria, a son of Ludwig III. Ludwig's grandson Prince Albert of Bavaria lived in exile in Budapest between 1939 and 1944 and visited his uncle Franz occasionally with his family before they were arrested by the Gestapo and deported to concentration camps in Germany. Prince Franz had set up a stud farm here, whose horses he took with him to Leutstetten Castle in Bavaria when he fled. Many of the estate's employees also fled there.

Sue Sturdy and her gang are attaching the donated knits to the bridge all week. I went down to drop off the #uptownknitmob's contributions, and had to stop and admire the bridge. Too bad the unveiling was scheduled for the same day as the Knitters' Fair!
This building was put up back in 1989...22 years ago, in building years...it was still quite "young". I can only imagine the property value went way up as this is right across the street from the Richmond Olympic Oval...and you guessed it...they're building condos...Progress!
Progress: kitchen and ladder – the walls have been plastered and papered. Not long now! Just a shame the very nice flooring wasn't protected properly. Repairs cost a lot of time...

Sophia is now using the actual loom to make her rainbow loom bracelets. Not sure what changed her mind, but the other day she asked for help to make sure she was putting the bands on properly. I still loop the bands for her, but I have a feeling she'll be doing that on her own pretty soon too.
Don't normally keep shots like these that are out of focus. But I am glad I kept this one. Because the building with the big glass front the Security Annex was one of the old mercantile edition that was torn down for the new current Merc development. forgot what nikon film camera I was using on this.
