progress with milhouse as tetsuo, this is a recreation of the cover from Akira volume 5. Painted with spray paint, paint marker, and sharpies.
I only have two sections left to quilt! It's all pretty wrinkly, but you can definitely see the pattern and how the grid is bordering the quilt, just the way I wanted it to. I love how this is going to show up on the back, too.

Jeff and I had the afternoon off today. So with Kai next door at
Michelle's, we worked on cleaning up the garage. Jeff finished his
workbench and we were finally able to get the saw and rolling cabinets
in place. Jeff started putting all his tools away, but we ran out of
time. Maybe we will get some more done tomorrow...
So today after all the Christmas festivities were over I decided to work on the fireplace. I tiled it with small pieces of slate from our backyard and then added my flickering battery operated tea light and some pieces of wood . I'm not sure if I need to add another tea light... what do you think?
