This scene is continually repeated as forests, fields, marshlands and plains are completely destroyed. How long can this continue? How many new developments have been built since this picture was taken in 1976?

My last ULI YLG meeting was hopeful for urban progress in Tampa. Thanks Mayor Buckhorn for a candid discussion about what your plans are for Tampa and making sure we have a connected and vibrant inner core connecting downtown, Ybor, Channelside and UT all the way to the Armory.
BAD RELIGION - "Progress"
And progress is not intelligently planned;
It's the facade of our heritage, the odor of our land. They speak of
Progress, in red, white and blue.
It's the structure of the future as demise comes seething through. It's
Progress, 'til there's nothing left to gain,
As the dearth of new ideas makes us wallow in our shame.
So before you go contribute more
To the destruction of this world you adore,
Remember life on Earth is but a flash of dawn
We're all part of it as the day rolls on.
And progress is a message that we send.
One step closer to the future, one inch closer to the end. I say
That progress is a synonym of time.
We are all aware of it but it's nothing we refine,
And progress is a debt we all must pay.
Its convenience we all cherish, its pollution we disdain
And the cutting edge is dulling,
Too many folks to plow through.
Just keep your fucking distance
And it can't include you.
It's
Progress, 'til there's nothing left to gain, it's
Progress, it's a message that we send.
And progress is a debt we all must pay.

The wall and all the electric cables are gone. The remainder of the wall (that will be left standing) ready for being painted.
Socks - basic pattern: k2p2 rib, stockinette the rest, heel flap heel, kitchener toe. Stats: US2 dpns (Crystal Palace Bamboo, lovely needles); Austermann Step (75% wool, 25% nylon, mit Aloe Vera und Jojoba Oil)
For project spectrum - the true color of this sock matches Feb/March - the grey turned a little green here - but blue and white are surely visible!
Napa Downtown Redevelopment Project. You can already see the skyline, and circular & polygonal building shapes taking form. I remember seeing the artist's rendition years ago, & they're actually sticking to plan.
See the rendition here :
Making progress, but need more parts and will have to modify some of the existing ones (no air vents for my power supply!)
This is how far I got before I went out of town. I have two sets sewn together. Seeing everyone's progress hurts! I will get caught up as soon as I get home! I'm having fun with grandbabies though!

Second progress picture of the raygun. I've fabricated a new trigger, and added an accent bead in front of the trigger guard.
The body still needs to be painted.
Another shot of the slow progress of Dalarnanana. Now I have a few bigger blocks made from the individual blocks. And this time I have them oriented correctly!

This is the closest the boys have (willingly) been so far. Not quite spooning, but seems like a good sign for 12 days in.
Toe-up two at a time socks on magic loop. I have about an inch to go before I start increasing for the heel.
I'm roughly following this pattern that came with the yarn, but backwards.
This was a slower process than any of us had expected, but the roof panels were going in, one by one.
