Finishing is continuing on the rehabbed Atkins tote. Slapped it on the saw tonight to see how it looks and feels. Not sure which tote I prefer now. Going to reshape the one I made (the open tote in the photo) and see if it helps.
I am following a vintage pattern for this dress. This is the yoke, the sleeves and skirt are knit to the yoke. This section will be smocked. Should I block this section before smocking? It is supposed to draw in some with the smocking. There are no blocking directions in the pattern. I know the skirt and sleeves will need blocking to show the lace pattern.

This is how far I got, waiting for the big "Blood red moon" event. What a fail... It was too cloudy where I live, so when the light winked out, so did the moon... lol
And yes, that's Piko, photobombing... ;)
Today went well till I got to joining the setting and shank. Struggled but got it. Looks like hell but lots of clean up ahead. Also reshaping of shank.
just a quick edit of a work in progress... and my SLink boots which I haven't taken off since I got them.
progress on the darkroom, thank you Ruthie for the all the guidance and thank you Bryan for all the hard work. I do not know anything about home remodeling and have learned a lot so far, fish for a person and they eat for a day, teach a person to fish and they will eat fish for three days and then hire someone to fish.
What is it in a developer that makes him (or her) look at a natural, wooded lot and think, "You know what would be really awesome? It would be really awesome if we cut this all down and installed some wooden boxes on concrete blocks here. Then we'll give the streets wonderful, natural names like Oak Lane, Maple Drive, Squirrel Run in honor of all of things that used to live here, but weren't as awesome as asphalt and roofing shingles. And this one will succeed, unlike the dozen or more empty sites that those other developers tried to make work in this area."
Such is this place, just a little west of Kalamazoo. Some day people like one of Kim's friends will live here and complain about having toads and raccoons in her back yard.
