This Falco peregrinus ssp. macropus was a 70th birthday present for me. It flew over our yard when we were outside and stayed for a few minutes. At one point it was chasing a much larger raptor which was probably a Little Eagle.

One of the most exciting components of A+ Partners in Education, Battle of the Books gets fifth grade students excited about reading. A lively academic competition, Battle of the Books improves reading comprehension, builds vocabulary, and teaches teamwork and good sportsmanship. The 2015 competition runs concurrently at Howard, Mt. Hebron, Oakland Mills, River Hill and Wilde Lake high schools.
Teams of five students and one adult coach each read the same 16 pre-assigned books over four months. Selected by HCLS instructors and HCPSS media specialists, titles include a wide range of reading levels and subjects. Thanks to generous sponsors, all teams receive a set of books. In addition to reading the books, teams choose a team name then dress accordingly.
During the "battle" (a 50-question exam), a moderator asks questions that relate to one of the following: a direct quote from one of the book characters; a statement about something that happens in the book; a passage taken directly from the book; details about an illustration or picture. Winning teams receive prizes.
The present building consists of the original portico, with its ten columns, on the eastern side, a spacious sanctuary with lofty alcoves on four sides, a mosque on the western side of the sanctuary, and various rooms. There are also numerous tombs contiguous to the Mausoleum.

Vi presentiamo Antares e Ariston due agnolotti vissuti insieme in una casa e poi scaricati in canile perché quella che credevano essere un´amica, una mamma, una compagna per la vita li ha brutalmente scaricati in canile.
Lo sdegno che proviamo per queste persone è indescrivibile e speriamo che queste creature possano
incontrare sul loro cammino persone degne di questo nome e non surrogati umani che di umano e buono non hanno proprio niente!
Antares è nato il 1/9/2004, è un meticcio, di taglia piccola, nero, dicono che non vado d´accordo con i maschi e non mi piace andare in macchina, per la macchina si vedrà, ma per i maschi, non capisco, sono anni che convivo con Ariston, e giuro è proprio un maschio!! Adora le coccole ed è infinitamente buono... basta guardare i suoi occhioni per rendersene conto.
Ariston è nato il 2/11/2004, meticcio tipo pastore tedesco, ma solo tipo, taglia medio grande, nero focato e un po´ tigrato. Ama la
compagnia del suo amico Antares e non disdegna le carezze.
Sono microchippati, vaccinati, sterilizzati e attendono solo una famiglia che li accolga. Si cerca un´adozione di coppia ma se proprio non si dovesse trovare nessuno che ci voglia insieme si valuteranno adozioni singole. La cosa fondamentale è uscire da questa prigione! Che male abbiamo fatto per essere reclusi? Prima di abbandonarci stavamo sempre chiusi in casa, poi non ci portava mai fuori ed ora chiusi in cella, ma la vita è questa? Diciamo che come mamma umana potevamo trovare di meglio... Non lasciateci qui dentro.

I am really pleased with this design for a Library in Bristol. I have been working on this for a long time, but this is its most recent manifestation. It is all still at a very early preliminary stage so it is most unlikely that it will ever get built in this manner.
