She also got a necklace. The guy at the second auction got one too. She took it off to give it to them. Lol, I don't even know who she is.

I'm not sure what was happening in Guildhall Square today, but a group were rehearsing for some event. Here they were standing on top of a large cage holding up flares. I found it quite poignant to see this against the images of the D-Day veterans on the big screen

We present several items from the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Glass™ sold under Desna since 1847 brand. This artistic crystalware collection produced by Preciosa Ornela and involves products which follow in the pre-war tradition of the production of unique products by the Jablonec companies of H. Hoffman and C. Schlevogt, as well as by other designers from the post-war era. The entire collection incorporates a wide range of products ranging from small matt crystal figures and articles with a devotional theme through to a group consisting of flacons, jars, vases and ashtrays (several of which are in the popular Art Deco style) and on to figural statues. These products are characterised by the large amount of traditional manual workmanship which goes into their production. As far as the colors are concerned, Czech crystal, uranium yellow, jade, refined blue and green have long been popular.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please come and visit our company shop in Desná, but you can, of course, also come across the items from the collection at a number of other shops which specialise in Czech glass.
“Lo que queremos lograr con este proyecto es que, en adelante, los estudiantes sepan exactamente a que institución deben dirigirse para especializarse en la profesión o el área que prefieran y, además, el nivel de profesionalización que puedan alcanzar exactamente”, expresó el ministro de la Presidencia, Gustavo Montalvo, al reunirse con la Comisión Nacional que presentó dicho marco.

As a retirement present to myself I organised a trip to photograph songbirds - particularly wood warblers - in the USA. I linked up with Sabrewing Nature Tours who set up a photo trip in Southern Ohio [around Cincinnati] and a further on in Pennsylvania. In between I joined the many migrants - both avian and human- at Magee Marsh.
This Hooded Warbler was photographed in East Fork State Park in southern Ohio. Usually skulking and hard to see, this one was the exception to the rule. Having last seen them 25 - 30 years ago at Point Pelee and the Texas coast it was good to catch up again. A bird with a more southern distribution than many wood-warblers, it breeds in the whole SE USA and just reaches southern Ontario

The 6th Annual Mud Creek Arts and Crafts Festival will be held in historic downtown Hanceville on Saturday, October 17, 2015.
There will an incredibly wide range of activities, local dignitaries, almost 100 arts & crafts vendors, locally grown produce and garden plants, food and beverage trucks + more than enough to keep children well entertained.
The highlight will be a historical tour of downtown in the antique Hanceville city fire truck (free). The tour will present skits at each stop along the route with Hanceville Mayor Kenneth Nail as you historian/narrator on the fire truck (yes, his mustache is real … gown out especially for this event). Nail will be playing the role of Postmaster P.H. Kinney whose father was the first mayor of Hanceville. The actors and actresses along the route are students portraying various characters from history.
There will historically accurate re-enactment of a Civil War Encampment which should prove to be extremely cool as well as educational.
Many works of art will be on display highlighted by a judged art show of these pieces with prizes for the winners.
Of course there will be live music, featuring Hanceville Jazz Band, Chad Bradford Band and the remarkable Jamie Akins Gospel Singers.
Trinity Luthern Church will begin serving a traditional German lunch starting at 10:30 am.
The Hanceville Quarterback Club will also be out in force with delicious cotton candy, roasted peanuts, Bulldog yard signs, stadium cushions as well as Hanceville High School carry bags and T-shirts. Proceeds from their booth will go directly to the HHS varsity and junior varsity football teams.
All proceeds from this festival will go to support Hanceville Schools.

The Spirit of Competition Award is presented annually to an individual who has made significant contributions in the world of motorsports. This year's recipient, Brian Redman, has won nine sports-car road-racing championships over his 60 years of competition. He will be honored at the Spirit of Competition Award ceremony on December 1 at the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Redman was chosen for his achievements on behalf of the sport and his dedication to excellence in racing, both on and off the track, exemplifying what it means to be a Champion.
Brian Redman is the only driver to win three straight championships in SCCA Formula 5000 and has raced in nearly every category of sports-car racing, including Formula One. The Englishman began racing in the 1960s and collected his first major championship—the 1970 South African Springbok Series title—while driving a BMW-powered Brabham. Brian went on to dominate the SCCA Formula 5000 (FF) Series in the mid-1970s, scoring three consecutive titles (1974-1976) driving a Lola T332 Chevrolet. Redman also drove a Lola T530 to victory in the 1981 IMSA Camel GT race at Riverside International Raceway. Brian is considered to be one of the greatest British endurance racers in the history of the sport. In addition to his four victories at Spa-Francorchamps, Brian has overall wins in the 1970 Targa Florio, the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1975 and 1978, has been a three-time winner at the 24 Hours of Daytona, and holds three class victories at Le Mans.

Kashmir - Dal Lake
Dal Lake is a lake in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The urban lake, which is the second largest in the state, is integral to tourism and recreation in Kashmir and is nicknamed the "Jewel in the crown of Kashmir" or "Srinagar's Jewel". The lake is also an important source for commercial operations in fishing and water plant harvesting.
The shore line of the lake, about 15.5 kilometres (9.6 mi), is encompassed by a boulevard lined with Mughal era gardens, parks, houseboats and hotels. Scenic views of the lake can be witnessed from the shore line Mughal gardens, such as Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Jahangir) and from houseboats cruising along the lake in the colourful shikaras. During the winter season, the temperature sometimes reaches −11 °C (12 °F), freezing the lake.
The lake covers an area of 18 square kilometres (6.9 sq mi) and is part of a natural wetland which covers 21.1 square kilometres (8.1 sq mi), including its floating gardens. The floating gardens, known as "Rad" in Kashmiri, blossom with lotus flowers during July and August. The wetland is divided by causeways into four basins; Gagribal, Lokut Dal, Bod Dal and Nagin (although Nagin is also considered as an independent lake). Lokut-dal and Bod-dal each have an island in the centre, known as Rup Lank (or Char Chinari) and Sona Lank respectively.
At present, the Dal Lake and its Mughal gardens, Shalimar Bagh and the Nishat Bagh on its periphery are undergoing intensive restoration measures to fully address the serious eutrophication problems experienced by the lake. Massive investments of around US $275 million (Rs 1100 crores) is being made by the Government of India to restore the lake to its original splendour.

"Scanners (o doblando oro)"
Millán presented her project Scanners (o doblando oro) produced by Montehermoso. Departing from the property deeds of some goldmines in the south-west of Colombia which belonged to her family, Millán undertook research to examine the labour relations and the ways of using the land established in the legal documents. These serve as evidence of more complex realities which the artist shows using photos, interviews and drawings. The result of this process was a publication which was presented during the seminar.
"Scanners (o doblando oro)"
