Good Sunday morning everyone and hope a great weekend was had by all.
This is the bird I gave up on photographing when the American showed itself, still glad I did, because she just kept on preforming for me since I stopped for a brief time.

Nice to meet up with two fellow photographers John and Phil and have chat about working together on some future projects, they kindly invited me over to their Little Owl site which they have only been working on for a few weeks and already have the Little Owls preforming very well. Yes, this is the church used in the final scene of the film " The Graduate". In the film, Dustin Hoffman climbs a staircase that runs along the exterior to access the mezzanine level inside. But that staircase was added for the film, and removed afterwards. It wasn't part of the church design.

I had to preform some tripoid yoga to get this shot as there is a knee high wall then there is a 10 foot wrought iron fence with gaps just wide enough to squeeez my lens through!

I love watching the Citizens of Hollywood preform and I always make an effort to seek them out and photograph them when I can. I’ve seen the Hollywood Public Works perform a few times and this was the best photo op I got of the gang. From left to right I believe their names are Wrench…sorry don’t know his last name! ^^’ (anyone know?), Rusty Commodes AKA “The boss”, and Frederick Lewenowski! They sure know how to pose for a shot and show off their unique personalities!

In order to prevent larger animals from stepping on their nests, Killdeer preform a display in order to grab the threat's attention and force them in a different direction. This display is slightly different from the well know "broken wing" display . The display for unaware, non-predatory animals such as horses and cows consists of the bird fluffing up, raising and opening its tail, and then charging at the potential threat.

We all have rituals, actions which we preform to help get us through the day/month/year/life. One of mine is related to travel. Before I travel a long distance I go and spend time close to Lake Michigan to connect. Soon after I return, I do the same to reconnect. This photos were taken this afternoon as part of that process. In just a couple of days I'll begin my travels.

This assault rifle is designed to preform in harsh conditions or on rocky terrain, it takes the best elements of european and american assault rifles. The upper receiver is stamped from a piece of high quality steel, the lower receiver is made out of milled steel and the barrel is cold forged for accuracy from medium to long ranges. the gas system is made from a mix of steel and titanium alloys coated in a corrosion resistant finish, the rifling is chromium plated and the bolt is made from a mix of titanium and steel coated in chrome as well. the trigger group parts are made out of aircraft grade steel (also coated in chromium), the plastic furniture has an aluminium wire chassis embedded in heavy-duty military grade plastic that has a green rubberized coating. the trigger guard has been enlarged for the use of winter mittens or gloves, the ambi charging handle is non reciprocating, the fire selector and mag release is ambi, and the stock folds and extends for compact storage.
