The girls of Westlake practice 2 hours before their game. Since they're across the street from me and I work with the star pitcher's dad, I was asked to cover as many of their games and take shots for them. The shots would be used for their school newsletters, website, and most likely their year end slideshow. I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's fun. I get to use my experience shooting weddings, candid shots, etc, and apply it to a completely new ballgame (pun intended)

This is a Middle School practice field near my house.

In Texas, the sun seems to rise and set with American Football for many people.

Trying out some watercolour brushes in photoshop. Experimenting! Yay!

Life is not dull around here any more; oh no. The kittens have been running, tumbling, playing and fighting since before six this morning. except when we took them to the vets for their first jabs. They were both brave and recovered very well.

I've been trying to think romantic today to practice for a wedding i agreed to shoot.. breathe in and OUT... anyway so here I am practicing some ring shots on my rings.. thinking what I like and what to be would be special to have in my ring shots. Trying to think like a bride. .. anyway.. I pick my fav book off the shelf.. it's very old and it's called The Ladies Handbook.. I open it up and take some shots with my rings on it..then when i go to edit notice I've got it open to a section called "diseases of the woman" and the words near the ring say "sexual glands" omg..

NOTE TO SELF: read the words near ring first.

My daughter knew I was practicing with my new camera, but thought I was aiming for her necklace. She thinks this shot is strange but typical of me.

What appears to be a training course being held by men of an Austro-Hungarian infantry regiment. They're in a well constructed trench, with Mannlicher rifles sticking through gun ports. At least 3 men are holding rifles with grenade launchers.

We went out for a bit of range practice. Range, in this case, meant pulling over someplace far away from people. We shot for a while, and packed up.

The surrounding terrain was completely barren. It all looks like what you see, nothing except rocks. If you'd have asked me if there were people nearby, I'd have said no.

Within *seconds* of starting to put the guns away there were a half dozen kids at our feet. They were picking up our brass. To refill with bullets.

At no point during the shooting did I notice a single one of them. They probably could have killed me with a knife while I stood there shooting the automatic assault rifle.

No way would I want to be on the wrong side of an insurgency against these kids.

While walking home through the Loop, I noticed this practice session of the Joffrey Ballet on the third floor of their studio.

Hiragana at first may seem complicated to memorize and write but with practice and time its very easy ^^ "Practice makes perfect" but I'm far from perfect, so i keep practicing!

Practice means what it says: writing is something to be done over and over, something that improves through the repetitive doing but that needs not be done perfectly. ~Julia Cameron
