during the nuremberg trials, the axis leaders were specifically charged with crimes that the allied powers did not commit. prior to world war two, the official policy of targeting civilians by massive ariel bombardment was perceived as illegal and barbaric. these photos, taken by my grandfather, as he served as an aerial navigator for the allies serves to demonstrate the level of the savagery committed by both sides. the planes were sometimes miles up, and, lacking precision guidance systems were almost entirely unable to predict where their bombs would fall. i am a pacifist. i abhor the murder of any living thing. i posted these photos because they are a powerful and chilling reminder of the casual stance that our government (i am from the united states) takes when it comes to taking innocent life. the people not pictured in the photos who were on the receiving end of these weapons were mothers, fathers, children. we are all human beings. we are all sacred. peace.
Infield Coach Geoff Wright '72 hits ground balls to the infielders during practice last Thursday on Freeman Field. Wright played second base for the Blue and Gold during the 1972 season and served as the team's captain.

The "Green Brigrade" practices the night before a game at the Apogee stadium, home of the UNT "Mean Green" in Denton, Texas.
Here we see Walter Woolfendens Lorain MC824 in close up. One of the jobs that Walter Woolfenden completed, was the covering up of the railway cutting to Liverpool Lime Street Station, which consisted of hundreds of very long pre stressed concrete beams. Before the job comenced in earnest, Walter practiced lifting these beams up, so as to eleminate any unforeseen problems in handling these awkward loads.
Up on Sand Flats east of Moab, we had just enough time after the drive to walk around the Slickrock Bike Trail's "Practice Loop".
Meant for beginning mountain bikers to get the feel of biking on slickrock, it was a fine reintroduction for us to get the feel of hiking on slickrock, too. And the scenery wasn't bad :^)

The 2018 Bhakti Summer Sangha was a complete 7-day experience: a total dive into spirituality for youth and young adults that offered each participant the opportunity to deepen their relationship with the Divine, learn more about the Bhakti path, and have a great time singing, dancing and celebrating together.
From the early morning yoga practices to the late night movie screenings to the final day's Satsang and Darshan with Paramahamsa Vishwananda, the week-long program had a large variety of activities for everyone to enjoy.

Subject Isolation Practice: Outfit inspired flash practice session. Using a single softbox for general lighting, a snoot for face highlighting, and then a blue gel on a reflector with barnbox for hair lighting.

This is a session with Melinda Kim I got to tag along with for a high end client. Thrilled to team up with her and be a part of this day to meet this little guy. This one was stylized by me but a heavy influence and inspiration from Carrie and Britt.
