Though I wanted the first shot to be special, I just thought I'd show a practice one first. This is SOOC.The light from my desklight is really bright in this :P
Living in the Read Residence Center at Indiana University means Meridith Wright has access to the practice rooms in the basement of the building. These spacious rooms feature a piano and a great view of the Musical Arts Center.

Watched practice yesterday and saw much of the VIP 9/11 show today. Going to the actual California Capital Airshow show on Sunday.
The East Scarlets and Hoover Huskies met up for a practice scrimmage on Saturday, August 23 at Williams Stadium. The high school football season kicks off on Friday, August 29.
I took a break from flashing strobes and practiced my panning shots. Most are too awful to post here, here are a few that came out okay. All shots were hand-held, with Image Stabilization set to Mode 2.
Shooting conditions weren't great, the sun was setting and the lens do not perform well at low light conditions. Camera was set to ISO800.
Sometimes I believe we all need a gentle prod into the direstion of where things should go. And with Cottaging, you can never be too careful. This is to remind you all, whether, like me, you are in Invercargill or maybe innocently cottaging in Brighton always practice safe cottaging!

Much better to practice this sort of thing on to soft ground rather than concrete or asphalt.

No, not a tilt-shift photo, just practicing my CR2 -> DxO Optics -> DNG -> Adobe Camera Raw -> Adobe Photoshop CS4 workflow (I'm planning on using DxO mainly for the geometric corrections - they should make a Photoshop plug-in just for that).
The girls of Westlake practice 2 hours before their game. Since they're across the street from me and I work with the star pitcher's dad, I was asked to cover as many of their games and take shots for them. The shots would be used for their school newsletters, website, and most likely their year end slideshow. I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's fun. I get to use my experience shooting weddings, candid shots, etc, and apply it to a completely new ballgame (pun intended)
