The snow will be with us soon...
Looking at my photo folders for the month, I've shot 21 days so far!
laying on the picnic table, practicing my foot position for a front piercing kick...five days til the test. Now is the time to worry!
leftover batter and frosting... i made a mini two tiered cake for fun, just for practice and to play around...
it's tiny, 5 inches round on the bottom and 3 inches on top.
Now i know why Grebes fly as little a possible. After 2 weeks i finally got to see one take off and fly. It took half the length of the pond running and flapping like crazy to get airborne, then it circled the pond twice to gain enough altitude.
This was just practice for a young one, also practice for me, their faster than a black duck.
If the minimum shutter speed for birds is 1/1000 of a sec then 1/1500 is a good starting point for these guys, my guess would be closer to 1/4000, my cameras shutter speed doesn't go that high.
I was asked to take some pics in a ballet class. I have already spent 2 days there, taking classical ballet and modern, and finaly point.
Its great. First being able to just be there officialy and go anywhere (well almost....) and take the pics, is great. But then there is the movement and the faces and all.
I think it will be a set all by itself. And I will go there again.
Its a wonderful eperience.

My girl and her dad have been spending a lot of time together practicing. Practicing soccer, practicing kickball and practicing talking about life in general. They don't always get along these two. I think it might have to do with her hormones and his lack of understanding, but they are working on it. I have been watching them lately as they have been practicing and they are learning to know each other better. They are developing a bond and I love watching the two of them grow closer together. I guess it's like everything else. Relationships take practice and hard work, and that's exactly what they've been doing. After all, practice makes perfect!

It's no small surgery, so I went through everything one more time today, step by step. Cut my shoulder open, rip out the scar tissue, tape stuff together, add filler, then caulk everything back up. Practice makes perfect and I can't afford to make stupid mistakes. I'll see everyone on the other side of the drug fantasies!

Went to Milan Dragway this weekend. This is just a quick practice shot for a later senior shoot with this girl. Sad the black on the car blends with the night so much, next time I'll shoot at sunset.
