My nephew Tom, the son of my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gill and Mike, got married to Holly on a beautiful summer’s day in June 2019.
The weather wasn’t perfect because we had intermittent showers on occasions. But the day was absolutely fantastic and the wedding went off very smoothly.
It was a civil ceremony held in two marquees; one for the ceremony itself and the other for the wedding breakfast.
Tom and Holly have both recently qualified as doctors and are now practicing their skills down in Devon.
These pictures are the ones I’ve selected to share on flickr. I hope those who take the time to view them will get as much pleasure from them as I did when capturing their day.
They cover the whole of the day, from guests arriving to the evening dancing and everything that happened in between.

during the nuremberg trials, the axis leaders were specifically charged with crimes that the allied powers did not commit. prior to world war two, the official policy of targeting civilians by massive ariel bombardment was perceived as illegal and barbaric. these photos, taken by my grandfather, as he served as an aerial navigator for the allies serves to demonstrate the level of the savagery committed by both sides. the planes were sometimes miles up, and, lacking precision guidance systems were almost entirely unable to predict where their bombs would fall. i am a pacifist. i abhor the murder of any living thing. i posted these photos because they are a powerful and chilling reminder of the casual stance that our government (i am from the united states) takes when it comes to taking innocent life. the people not pictured in the photos who were on the receiving end of these weapons were mothers, fathers, children. we are all human beings. we are all sacred. peace.

laying on the picnic table, practicing my foot position for a front piercing kick...five days til the test. Now is the time to worry!
Practicing kicking up into eventual Peacock pose which will lead me to Scorpion pose.
I'm not quite there but I can feel a moment where I'm balanced, just for a split second. I'll keep working on it.
On New Year's Eve we went down to the family hunting cabin to do some target practice with friends. Mr Chiots wants to do this every month so he's ready for deer season this year. He's hoping to have 3 deer in the freezer after 2010 hunting season.
I was asked to take some pics in a ballet class. I have already spent 2 days there, taking classical ballet and modern, and finaly point.
Its great. First being able to just be there officialy and go anywhere (well almost....) and take the pics, is great. But then there is the movement and the faces and all.
I think it will be a set all by itself. And I will go there again.
Its a wonderful eperience.

Woke up this morning for my once a week workout, but was still just a tad sick, so I didn't go.
Instead, I took Ayu out for some bokeh practice.
Thanksgiving Lapbook 2007 (B) - cover art, leaf cut-out of giant pumpking fingerpainting & mounted on cardstock for stability. Handwriting practice on title; autumn side of lapbook.
Drum and bugle corps was practicing at the local high school a couple of years ago. These kids were amazingly dedicated...sweating and working hard in the summer heat.
