I was on the look-out for "Montreal Fries". Turns out that it's called Poutine, and Bob located some of the good stuff in a nearby pub.

Poutine and a glass of wine. This counts as HIGH CLASS in Quebec, baby.

We went into Weterspoons to steal wifi and Char asked the barman if he knew what poutine was.

We explained what was involved in the classic Canadian dish (at first he thought were were Canadian and said he'd never forgive us for Celine Dion :p) and he pressed it through the till. Better than expected! :D

We didn't get poutine until after the Ironman, and we couldn't find the poutine truck afterward, so we never got to try street-poutine.

I spent my entire trip trying to find the perfect poutine… The classic Canadian dish. Fries, cheese curds and gravy. Let's just say my cholesterol shot up a whole lot after this meal. Ottawa
