From 28 January to 1 February, GDS organised Services Week, a nationwide, cross-government event including presentations, workshops, remote talks, and training.

Here's my attempt at deterring Mr Angry from attacking his reflection in our window. (See yesterday's photo.) Failed attempt, unfortunately - it doesn't seem to have put him off at all. Ah well, it was worth a try.

 

Feeling pretty exhausted today. Not much else to tell from the day - apart from the fact that we have a viewing on our flat at the weekend! The woman the estate agent had mentioned to us (who was trying to buy a similar flat nearby but the sale fell through) is very interested, apparently. Trying not to get too excited...!

GDS partnered with Code for America to run the first International Design in Government Day in the US as part of the Code for America Summit 2019 in Oakland, California. It included keynotes, workshops, talks and networking opportunities for designers working for and in governments around the world.

Somehow got unexpectedly roped in to 3+ hours of a 7th grade career fair. Not what I was expecting when I agreed to help carry a box from one building to another.

Using some fine tipped markers I found in my old art supplies. The light grey is nice for making gradients if I take my time to do it right.

Had such a fun time doing up this 4"x6" acrylic sign stand into a holder for my neon purple post-it pad, complete with cute little critters (stamps from Paper Smooches). For more info on the card, you may like to visit my blog post.
