Inside Your Mind is the art project I've been working on this year and the final bit is an installation representing parts of the brain. The post it notes behind me are random thoughts I asked people to write for the installation. If you like you can watch videos from the project =].

Today's inspiration for 30 Days of Creativity is the color blue.
So naturally, I started listening to Joni Mitchell's Blue album. A personal favorite!
Which naturally led to my decision to create some illustrated lines from the title track "Blue" using Post It notes, my wall and a bright blue marker.
I called up my mom for her orange roughy recipe. "What orange roughy recipe?" she said. Turns out, it's just her generic white fish fillet recipe: "Real simple. You just poach the fillets in a white wine sauce."
"Poached? ¿Qué?" I asked. We laughed at my cooking ineptitude. "Should I look that up in the dictionary then?" Heh. Poaching turns out to mean, put food in boiling liquid and ignore simmering until cooked. I can do that!
I thought I had some white wine, but I didn't. I substituted sherry (the good stuff, too, alas; couldn't find my cooking sherry). It was still yummy, so it looks like substituting sherry for white wine caused no harm.
From 28 January to 1 February, GDS organised Services Week, a nationwide, cross-government event including presentations, workshops, remote talks, and training.
A little art project where I leave sticky notes with questions, asking people to tweet their answers.
-----------
Here's what's on these sticky notes:
What is your favorite thing at the Western brown line stop? Tweet your fav with the hashtag #SNQwestern
What is your favorite thing at the Belmont stop? Tweet your fav with the hashtag #SNQbelmont
Do you like this sculpture? Tweet your thoughts about the DuSable bust. Use the hashtag #SNQdusable

According to the phone operator who sits at a counter across this vending machine, at least one person attempted to get a can of soda AFTER the "out of order" sign was posted.

Created with fd's Flickr Toys.
I love making these simple post-it note holders. I found the pattern in an old copy of Cards Magazine. I have made a few for friends but never one for myself so this is mine. I had to put a ladybug (from Elisabeth) on it. Plus I was desperate to try my new heartwing butterfly stamp & designblock Outline flowers. There are individual photos on my photostream. TFL

O___O <-------that's how I look when I see school supplies.
I had that I got these and I'm scared to use them.
As opposed to The Girl with a Pearl Earring. Art. on the window where my daughter sits to do her school work. It's been there for ages. She drew it. She's 17. And a writer, not an artist. She's very good at it, too.
Took this in the morning today, just testing some light. Would have normally deleted but didn't. Good thing, as it was a photo-less day otherwise.
