It's a bit dented and seems to have spilled a little coffee but it should still be drinkable. Enjoy.

After long years,
How should I greet thee?--
With silence and tears."

This week was sucky.
That's all I must say.
IDK if this is a definite photo or just a place holder.
I think definite, even though its a crap picture, with crap editing.
And I know I'm late for this week, I just didn't have the will to take out my camera
So I finally used my Webcam

Starting early on the August MSH with the topic "Note to Self". August is a busy, busy, busy month for me with school starting back up. I'm so ready to get back to teaching, but there is a lot to do prior to that all starting back up!
P.S. It's not really an "angry day" - I just love the shirt. I think it's the angry moose that does it.
GDS hosted the first ever International Design in Government Conference to bring the community together in one place for two days full of talks, workshops, breakout sessions and a panel discussion.
My home is too quiet now. Recently on July 1st I had to say good-bye to my dog and help stop her life of seizures & increasing difficulty to walk. She lived a long life and she will be missed. With her and my other dog both gone this year every day seems quieter without "our puppies" in the house.
"The Lake in the fall" is a piece of artwork I painted a very long time ago and still love to this day. I have done other inspired by works of that piece and today I just felt like drawing you a mug with it as well.
Hope you like it.
Some of the outtakes. Could those possibly be Flickr Flip-Flops???
Please!! NO Awards or Large Graphics...Buddy Icons are OK. Thank You!

I wasn't tagged but I saw a couple other people do this on flickr so I thought I'd do it too. :)
1. Your name and your flickr name
2. Are you right or left handed?
3. Favorite letters to write
4. Least favorite letters to write
5. Write out the sentence, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"
6. The names of the six of your flickr contacts that you'll be tagging.
Yesterday I ran the school's faculty meeting to talk about design thinking. I made these two sets of sketchnotes to talk about design thinking at our school, and to teach a Post-It Note exercise from dgray_xplane's book, GAMESTORMING. I'd say the day was very successful— in part because of the great visual aids. Notetaking style owes a lot to Mike Rohde's book, Sketchnote Handbook

Coffee can be like a nice warm hug, so why not a hug mug. Sure it might be hugging itself but it full of coffee so can you blame it. I hope you like it.
Kind of looks like a bee hive too. I think my idea for this was better than how it came out in reality.
Hope you like it.
Went and voted before work this morning, then caught the train from Kidbrooke (which is closer to the polling station). I managed to get there in a big gap between trains, so had to jump on the next one which came, which meant getting off at London Bridge. Although I was by then in a bit of a rush to get to work, I found myself pausing for a few minutes with many others to look at all the tributes and messages of love and hope that have been put at the southern end of the bridge. This lady was just lining up to add her message to the wall. Then walked across the bridge with rather a large lump in my throat....
Hurried on to work and arrived just in time to go straight back out with my boss for a meeting in Bloomsbury. We walked there and back, so by the time I finally sat down at my desk I had done a whole lot of walking!
I was saying I wasn't going to stay up for the election results tonight, then saw the exit poll. Hanging on for the first couple of results at least....

We had our Sunday roast at the Rose & Crown, but Olive wasn't very happy. In fact, back at Mum's she was quite tearful, as she has been sometimes lately. It turns out she was worrying about her Christmas cards and presents! So when I took her home, I put about 20 Post-It notes around the house: bedroom, bathroom, landing, stairs, hall, kitchen, dining room and lounge were all covered! She saw the funny side of it, and I could hear her giggling each time she found a new one. I wonder if it will work ;-)
Mr Pox and Mrs Polar Bear looking dejected, and wondering where Mrs Emily is....
She's not coming home tonight :-(
This black mug of coffee is decorated with a geometric design of orange and yellow. I hope you like it.

Here's my attempt at deterring Mr Angry from attacking his reflection in our window. (See yesterday's photo.) Failed attempt, unfortunately - it doesn't seem to have put him off at all. Ah well, it was worth a try.
Feeling pretty exhausted today. Not much else to tell from the day - apart from the fact that we have a viewing on our flat at the weekend! The woman the estate agent had mentioned to us (who was trying to buy a similar flat nearby but the sale fell through) is very interested, apparently. Trying not to get too excited...!
