I never got around to posting a picture of my first tattoo.

Well, here it is. Hank.

A bit late in posting this, I was waiting for my Disney World uploads to finish, and I fell asleep. Lo and behold, there was an error and by the time I woke up, it was already past midnight. Oopsie~ This photo was taken on the 4th though, rest assured (^—^)b

So there it is, my accumulated weekly GTA transportation passes for the previous year. They just raised the cost of these and now they're $5 dollars more. Probably another incentive to get my license back. Now that the strike is over, maybe I'll finally get to start over again this year? And as always, along with everything else... I need to find time to pick up the book and review again.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I hate commuting. In fact, I think if I did I would've gotten my license back a while ago right? Haha. It's just really inconvenient when it's freezing out and when you need to catch routes that don't run as often as others, not to mention when you need to transfer multiple times.

Hopefully this will be the last year I need to buy these every week. We'll see! Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Posting the trot. Posting is the up-down movement that the rider makes when the horse is trotting. The trot can be an uncomfortable pace to sit for the rider; therefore you post putting your heels down, squeezing the horse slightly with your calves and inner thigh to create the optimal balance and movement between the rider and the horse. It takes your core muscle in your abdomen, your thighs and calves muscles to create that perfect balance so you don’t topple over. When done well, it is not uncomfortable for the horse, but it is physically demanding of the rider.

Posting at the Redrock Falls trailhead. Over the next two days our hikes would become less congested with human traffic and our canisters of bear spray became an increasing comfort.

I cook every night because I believe it's one of the best things I can do for our health. Last night, I noticed the red glow of the burner under the wok, and the steam rising from the vibrant green spinach.

Today, I'm posting photos I took earlier in the fall when I visited a spot from my past. I don't often like to get personal on online platforms, but I did in a blog post I wrote about this place. I hope you check it out. The link (and more photos) is here:

Electricity Pole being used as a public notice board in the village of Constatine

Posting as educational exercise. I "pushed" the exposure on "Strings in the Wing" and "toned down" the exposure on "Discover(ing) Wisconsin in the Balcony" but otherwise these photos from Sunday's Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra concert aren't cleaned up.

In the original of these (and any other image), you can see how things aren't right across the plane of the sensor. In particular there are issues on the left side of frame. Which is also where a large crystal-like dust mote is stuck hard on the sensor. (The people at Camera Craft in Rockford were unable to remove it.) While calibration is clearly a problem, there are more issues at play in the camera. It may be difficult to see in the Facebook versions of these photos.

Once I have a new camera (Sunday?), I'll send this one off to Canon to get an estimate on repair. I've been fighting these growing problems for over a year; in the last 6 months issues with focus and sensor noise have become worse and much less predictable.

Posting this one because I'm still Looking for the Love. I do like the color of the lettering in this photo.

posting this series of rewritten comic book covers, re-imagined and modernized text by my friend K****. Enjoy.

Posting this photo was more for fun than anything else. I'll be going into the school board today to sign my first teaching contract!!!!!!! One week ago today I got the call that I have been accepted for a teaching position.... ME.... and the news still hasn't sunk in.

I took this picture last December in preparation of my teaching portfolio. Now I can take this name plate and books, and put it to good use! So happy!

Since I've been back from my trip, I have been a bit busy with my little cousin, who's visiting from Portugal. Please be patient while I'm still going through all your photos... I just don't want to rush through them as I always enjoy looking at everyone's work.
