Everything in this dealership is about "Power"!
Took 148 shots.
Thought to do an abstract to try to include as many "Power" machines as possible.
The vehicle that is being used to reflect on is, in the words of the salesman "the most powerful Bently sportswear made.
The Blue car is a Lamborghini.
The silver car is an Audi Sports car.
Far left rear is a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Power, Power and more Power.
Used a 1.0 sec. exposure at w/f7.1
To get the colors out of the reflected images I had to crank up the exposure when editing. Did most editing in Bridge. Finished in Photoshop Sharping and finishing with a Gaussian Blur to soften it up. Wasn't sure whether to use the blur. Some would, some not.
These are photos I’ve taken the past year and a half. It’s mostly stuff from local car meets, long exposures, exploring with b&w film and just all round shooting anything I like.
Th prefers posting to the delights of women's magazines. He was later converted to the joys of Grazia and searching for pictures of Victoria Beckham
Every so often I enjoy walking into the IT office to see what new humor postings they placed on their doors. They're always right-wing motivated political humor (we're all God fearing and conservative in this department, which is strange considering we work for the "Liberal media"), computer geek/ITS/office humor or some other general thing.
Isn't this how we've all been feeling these past few years? Aah well, it beats being unemployed.
DAY 8!
Again I am late with posting I am learning that posting before bed is becoming my biggest challenge. I start my days so early (4:45 am) with running one teen to early morning swim practice and the other to early morning drivers ed class, then throw in a 4 month old baby and well I guess you can see where I am going with this. Enough with my excuses I am just going to have to crack down on myself now!!! I will get it all caught up today I have at least shot most everyday that is the important part of this project right?
Being an honest photographer sometimes to my own fault. I really shot this on day 6, This is my Princess Tj's sweet sixteen surprise party! We had a good time. I have to say I wish I had a clan of friends like hers when I was 16.
So on Day 8 I sat down and finished up some pictures I took for a friend and thought that I should go through my own pictures and see what I had that I would like to get printed. I think as a photographer we sometimes forget to look at our own shots for our own family's. Does anyone else have this problem? Maybe it is just me!
So I enhanced a few of my own shots I was pretty simple with it I used PW's boost and warm, I also used PW's edge burn.
I was shooting with a low ISO of 100 because we were going into low light in the back yard. Again I didn't write out all my settings and now I have no clue what they all were! Another thing I am learning about myself I don't like to write things down and my memory is not as sharp as it used to be. LOL
I know there is a bit of a dark shadow on her face but I still like this shot it is her smile I used to get all the time when she was a baby! I think I should have used a fill flash on the shot to bring out her eyes more and lighten up her face.
Well tell me what you all think?
A project posting concert/gig tickets from bands I have seen over the years.
I've found all my ticket stubs I retained, and will post them on the anniversery of each gig.
Some were good, some not so good, and some were awful.
Some I really wanted to see and took a few hours on the phone to secure tickets. (No internet all those years ago).
Others were bought by friends and I went along not knowing what to expect.
Some of them I remember well, and a few I don't.
Posting this image from our trip to Sweden this past summer. It's January now and c-c-c-cold!
A nice portrait in a nursery setting of Julia and Rebekah.

Often I'll check Craigslist to see if anyone is looking for a freelance photographer. Based on what they are looking for, I'll try to create a photo that may meet their criteria.
Genetic testing for gender is a type of medical test that uses DNA analysis to determine a person's biological sex. This type of testing is often performed on individuals who are intersex, meaning they are born with physical characteristics that do not fit typical male or female biological traits.

Posting cards from Spain would be enormously expensive, so they get posted in the UK. This necessitates two trips; one in October to buy the cards and a further trip in December to post them.
You might argue that the cost of the trips far exceeds the price of stamps and you would be right. Of course, the trips are justified on the basis of visiting family and other shopping!
With her usual military precision, Mrs W. has written all the cards, a few notes and the envelopes. My contribution was to produce an annual newsletter.
NB The finished cards are all in that Primark bag ready for our trip next week.
As of today's posting, this photograph is sixteen months in the past. At that time, construction of "a visionary masterplan project set to transform Saint John's waterfront into a thriving epicenter of urban living" was just getting underway. I haven't been back to that location since, but this is a MAJOR development costing . . . what? A hundred million taxpayer dollars? But whatever-----it's only money!
In 'the old days' things used to happen more, shall we say, organically. But now, some 'developer' decides what the common people shall, or shall not have. I have mixed feelings about this sort of thing, to be honest. The Saint John of my childhood is gone, history, with so many key elements of the old city having disappeared. I'm sorry, but I just can't relate to these glitzy new developments that are anything but 'organic'.
I'm not opposed to progress, as such, but seventy-plus years of experience has taught me that, in too many instances, "progress" is not all it's made out to be. Building the new generally entails destroying the old.
That's especially true when you look behind the facade of glamour. The South End of Saint John is the oldest part of the city and, at least in terms of its housing stock, it's been in decline for a very long time (this accounts for the 'urban renewal' frenzy of the early 1960s, although those efforts were not directed at the South End). There are a lot of old houses in various stages of decay. And the waterfront? It used to be a dingy workplace, what with the Pugsley sheds and the Coast Guard buildings, along with the sugar refinery and other smaller industrial enterprises. That has all been swept away; everything now is geared toward cruise ship tourism and the pleasure of those with the means to afford brand-new residential buildings with a harbour view (I am not, rest assured, among their number-----it wouldn't surprise me if rents are four or five times what my wife and I are paying for our modest, though perfectly adequate and decent, apartment in Charlottetown).
So yeah, color me a bit skeptical. New and bright is probably better than old and dingy. That's logical, and I get it. Still, feelings don't necessarily have any connection with logic . . .

Imagine our delight when we docked in Falmouth, Cornwall, one April and were greeted with a gloriously sunny day!
You could 'tramp' from one end of the United Kingdom to the other if you wanted to.

A day-trip to Phillip Island – ninety minutes out of Melbourne, is always worth it.
The second stop en route is the wooded Koala Reserve. The eucalyptus – swamp gums, mana gums, and blue gums – are just beautiful in the afternoon light.
