Again some old posting, reprocessed and reloaded after the Flickr system corrupted (no longer viewable) the originals!

Snowshill Manor was the property of Winchcombe Abbey from 821 until 1539 when the Abbey was confiscated by King Henry VIII during the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
Between 1539 and 1919 it had a number of tenants and owners until it was purchased by Charles Paget Wade, an architect, artist-craftsman, collector, poet and heir to the family fortune. He restored the property, living in the small cottage in the garden and using the manor house as a home for his collection of objects. He gave the property and the contents of this collection to the National Trust in 1951. There are two aspects of Snowshill Manor: its garden and the manor house, which is now home to Wade's eclectic collection. The garden at Snowshill was laid out by Wade, in collaboration with Arts and Crafts movement architect, M. H. Baillie Scott, between 1920 and 1923 as a series of outside rooms seen as an extension to the house. Features include terraces and ponds. The manor house is a typical Cotswold house, made from local stone; the main part of the house dates from the 16th century. Today, the main attraction of the house is perhaps the display of Wade's collection. From 1900 until 1951, when he gave the Manor to the National Trust, Wade amassed an enormous and eclectic collection of objects reflecting his interest in craftsmanship. The objects in the collection include 26 suits of Japanese samurai armour dating from the 17th and 19th centuries; bicycles; toys; musical instruments and more. On 5 October 2003, the house was closed and its entire contents removed in order to effect a number of repairs. In particular, the electrical wiring needed updating, new fire, security and environmental monitoring systems were installed, and the existing lighting was improved. The house reopened on 25 March 2005.
I am posting very similar cards so if you would like to see the differences they are both here in my stream. This one was for my hubby. These layered dies are fun to work with. The details are on my blog. kcskards.wordpress.com/2021/06/26/die-cutting-with-hero-a...

Posting another six photos from 23 January.
A short drive SE of the city on 23 January 2025 produced two Snowy Owls and a Coyote. Other than those, all I saw were several Black-billed Magpies. Luckily, it was an overcast day, so I wasn't bothered by harsh sun glare.
Driving along one of my regular roads, I spotted a car far in the distance and it looked like it had pulled over. Wondering if it was perhaps a birder/photographer, I slowed right down, stopped, and then very cautiously pulled forward, not wanting to flush an owl if it was being photographed. When I got close enough to the car, I could see a raised camera. When it was lowered, I inched my way forward and I told the driver that I had wondered if he had found an owl and that I didn't want to flush it for him. He said yes, he had found an owl and asked if I hadn't noticed it. Turning my head, sure enough, a beautiful male Snowy was sitting on a distant hill.
From there, I drove a few other back roads to check a spot where I had seen a Snowy Owl some previous years, Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a white 'blob' perched exactly where I had hoped one would be. Again, too far away for decent photos, but wonderful to see.
Driving a few back roads on my way home, I again saw a car pulled over (turned out to be the same photographer). Sure enough, I saw a very distant owl (male) perched high up on a power pole. Given the location, it could easily have been the same individual that I first photographed, so I'm not counting it as a third Snowy.

I have walked past our fireplace for 20 years and have never noticed the actual grate. This morning, the fire was warm and rich in color. But for the first time, I also saw the design the grate created in front of it. I love vivid colors such as orange, and I love heat....especially on a cold Idaho morning.

Posting these a year late, amazing how much can change in a short time. After being denied entry into Lebanon, I went back to the UK for a couple of weeks. Everyone was surprised, the good ones pleasantly so.
Posting this on America's Veteran's Day in 2011. Something about the aircraft and the flag together that seemed appropriate.
Today's Posting - #TP178 - May the 4th be with you; get your light sabre out, strike or force the choice is yours, go to the darkside or stay with the good.
I have been hunting for light sabres or something similar and have not been able to find any!!
Your views and comments are always appreciated. Thank you!

Well I should be posting photos from Spring and not Autumn. But I don't really have any Spring photos - yet - and I kind of liked this one.
It was a yellow/orange-colored forest, but I did enhance the colors with Color Efx Pro 2 from Nik Software.
Did I over do it? What do you think?
Posting the 365 for 28 February out of order for the "2015 Weekly Alphabet Challenge"
This theme is "I is for Intense". Ginger is an intensely flavorful spice. And my friend Virginia, nicknamed Ginger, who died one year ago on February 28, was an intense, spicy-tempered, and much beloved woman.
For the group "115 Pictures in 2015", this fits theme #91 - Spices/spicy

I really have a problem with getting to the post office. I *have* to mail this out TOMORROW. So, I was pro-active and packed it up tonight...
I lied about posting before I leave.
I've had this photo on my desktop for the past 7-8 months, but held off on adding it; this feels like the right day. Anyway, I'm just glad we stuck with the full red and white and not the original red, white, and blue design initially suggested.
Now this is seriously the final goodbye!

I'm not posting this for fav's, I just wanted to show what ringworm looks like.
We found several small sores on both Noah and Elijah a few weeks ago. We thought they were sores from scratching from fleas. We took them to the Vet to have them checked because several more sores with fur loss appeared. I became worried that it might be ringworm. After a biopsy on both kittens and two weeks of growing the cultures I received a call from the Vet that the biopsies are positive for ringworm. 😩
Ringworm is not actually a worm, it's a fungal infection that causes the fur (on animals) to fall out in a ring shape. It's itchy and leaves a sore/scab. It can spread all over the animal if not treated.
It's very contagious to other animals AND to people. I believe I read that on people it will show up on the skin as a circular rash thats very itchy. I think it is caused by the same type of fungal infection that causes athletes foot and jock itch. I know....Lovely!!
Usually if one pet in the home has it, all pets in the home have it. I've never had a pet that had this type of infection. And I'm not very happy that Elijah and Noah have it!
Because Elijah and Noah are such young kittens the Vet had to have a compounding pharmacy make medication for them. For the next six weeks we will have to give them daily medication. Hopefully we will not become infected!
I know posting a bunch of pictures of the same subject can make for a less interesting photostream, but I thought these pictures of Henry were too cute.
I don't even remember what he was mad about - he may have let the camera whack against the stone wall as he was climbing up and gotten scolded about that.
These are all at a ring fort between Dursey and Allihies near the tip of the Beara Peninsula.
I haven't been posting much lately. I had a large number of photos taken and used on a commercial site without permission and it was pretty much the last straw for me. I've had numbers of photos stolen over the years and I've dealt with the situation when I found them. Mostly it just was one or two at a time and generally by someone who didn't understand that not everything on the internet can be used freely.
Although I think people should be educated about the laws and it's a pain to educate people at least I know that most people did not mean to harm. But this is the third time (that I am aware of – I’m sure there are more) that a commercial site has taken a large number of photos - the last time was what prompted me to start watermarking. And even though I'm in the right I feel like such a mean person for standing up for my rights. I miss sharing but am tired of dealing with the misuse.
So I’ll only be posting now and then here on Flickr. ;-(
Always best to check and see if your job is on the "posting board". Little did they know (nor did I) that I'd be bailing out soon enuff!
