This is another Topaz Sharpen save with some extensive photoshop to recover as much of the detail as possible. The lens isn’t very sharp to start with at 500mm, but I’ve always wanted to publish it & now I’m calling it good enough. The position, the background… it’s too good to pass up posting.

The Quintessential Pose - Bobcat performing the quintessential feline paw raise. This image is from an awesome 2 hour encounter in 2022 with this young Bobcat. I've observed her since she was a kitten and it's amazing to see how much she has grown. She acted as if I was an inanimate object in the environment. It's what I strive for when I photograph wildlife - to be the proverbial "fly on the wall" and capture wildlife acting as if I'm not present.

"Kat" co-operates and poses for me, The freezing outside temperatures did not appeal so she is content to be indoors today.
You can just see the calf's head in front of the cow's legs, behind the leaves. The calf is too busy eating to pose for the camera. =)
These two were right by the side of the road near the top of Pinkham Notch, NH. Many motorists stopped their vehicles right in the travel lane to jump out and gawk at them... I am still amazed that there wasn't an accident!
