Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

My 14-yr-old boy has laryngeal paralysis, a degenerative nerve disease. He probably won't be around much longer. He is such a good dog.

Yes, a little gross. We came home from our trip to Austin to find a hole in our doggie's chest. Rough dog play at the park with the sitter? A run-in with a stick? We'll never know. But a trip to the vet and three staples later, and he's on the mend.

we can wear your clothes, but you cant wear ours.. hahaha!

Max on his newly begun phenobarbital regimen. His shaved leg made it look like that paw was prosthetic...

Smudge had to have two teeth taken out today because he had tooth resorption, which was very painful for him. He's pretty stoned on pain meds right now! The vet tech girl put a bandanna on him. heh. The blue bandage is from where his IV was.

a soul flown away with the lightness of a butterfly

We had a bit of a gale (force 11) here on the West coast today

This is Teddy after the vet shaved his back and gave him the medicated bath. He is definitely one sad little spoo. Even his tail is tucked.

I guess the lake just didn't agree with Jammu. He was very sick that day.

Example of poor workmanship

Poor Marty Brodeur, aka Fatso... just couldn't handle the US Men's Hockey team.

The dude seemed bigger than the horse.

"But I never intended all this madness, never

And nobody really understood, how could they?

That all I ever wanted was to bring them something great

Why does nothing ever turn out like it should?"

Not particularly good images these, pretty poor in fact (very heavy crops) but worthy of record shots if nothing else. The spotted sandpiper being quite a rare migrant visitor to the UK shores, has become quite a celebrity over the last few weeks with birders travelling sometimes hundreds of miles to get a glimpse of it. You would think after spending the time and money to do so that they would listen to the advice of locals that have seen the bird rather that dismiss them with the 'i know best' attitude as some seem to have done recently ................. their loss!! And i must add that it is only the minority.

Poor tweety had a broken leg. I was at the living room when I heard a thud at the sunroom. At that instant, I suspected that another bird had made a fatal mistake of flying through the glass at our sunroom. Poor tweety! I was just glad and relieved that it was able to fly after this photo shoot.

Unfortunately Palomita gets scratched by Pixels at times....
