I see many problems with the managements of companies, and this is one of my least favourites - where managers rush around talking to each other but ignoring basic issues of communication within and between departments. When the mess results in a problem, who gets the blame? Those ultimately responsible for the mess or those trying to work a broken system?

The cards were my grandmother's, and they date from around the 1930s. She looked like a gypsy, lived in a small caravan in a village and rode a motorcycle.

Spotted this poor bufflehead at English Bay, covered in oil and in serious distress. And he didn't seem to be able to swim or move normally. This is fuel spill from a cargo ship. Can you imagine what would happen if it were a pipeline oil spill?

Yeah, at first glance, it may look like I am sleeping, but I am in fact doing something much less classy... thats correct, I am pouting. I am mad because Kjersti insisted on taking the picture vertically. What a whiny baby I am!

I had been worried how he might end up.

Spencer got the stomach flu on the day of Ruby's ballet performance in Cinderella. He laid on the couch most of the day with his buddy, Dodger.

My poor Toby had an epileptic fit this morning at 5:30. I just can't believe it happened. The seizure lasted about 4 minutes but of course it seemed much longer. Even if I am used to those situations, it hurts and aches so much each time. As some of you know, my daughter Jennifer and my mom have an epilepsy. I have been living in fear of a phone call for so many years... you know, a call from the hospital. It happened so many times. Last month, my poor mommy had 3 fits within a few hours, it is still very painful to talk about this right now.

I can't admit that my doggie is now in the same pathology, I don't even understand why this happened to him.

Of course we saw the vet this morning, he said that this could happen once in a life with no explanation. If it happens again (hope it will NEVER happen again) Toby will have to get a medication for epilepsy. Since autumn he has had medication for bronchitis. I told the vet that his coughing has increased for a week (I had planned to go to the vet at the end of this week. He made x-rays which showed Toby's lungs are in a poor condition (same as last October), blood test was OK, temperature too. So Toby has to take antibiotics for 12 days and go on taking costicosteroids. If the coughing persists, we'll have to get an appointment with a lungs specialist in an other town (Annecy).

I think Toby had this seizure because he is tired because of his cough. Well, it's just an idea.

Thank you for reading me, I feel very very upset and miserable.

I'll keep you updated.

My friend found this poor thing along the streets last night. It couldn't fly because of one whacked wing. She called up several vets, but none of them wanna take in an injured bird... why why why? Whether a bird or a dog, it's LIFE u know... So, she brought it back to the office, and here it is now, in a box. It looked healthier today, thank God! tho a little hungry, it moved around pretty ok, and flew a little. We'll try a vet during lunch time, and let's hope it'll heal soon. ^__^

Boot's kitty is up to no good again. This time Fred has gotten herself stuck in a hamper and has'nt a clue as to how to get out of there I'm sure.

For some reason, I've not noted the train details. The 67 is on the WAG, the 150 on the right is on a Wrexham Central-Bidston train, and the one in the middle is a Wrexham to Shrewsbury working, that connected out of the Virgin Voyager from Euston. Specific train ID's, and departure times, escape me at the moment. (Probably come back to me when I'm in work later!)

i took isabel to the vet this morning, and had to leave her there. something's wrong. they have an idea of what it might be, and it's too scary, and too disgusting, to get into. i should hopefully know more later this afternoon.

please send her some positive healthy hopeful vibes, ok?

UPDATE: it's not as bad as we feared, and she'll be ok. she probably needs to stay overnight, but then she can come home. whew.

Do you feel sorry for me yet? I had leg surgery yesterday. It was an outpatient procedure with local aenesthetic. Unfortunately, local aenesthetic did not work on me. So, I had to tough it out and feel the whole thing while awake. I tell, you, I am pretty strong and I RARELY cry. But yesterday, I was bawling my eyes out. It was the most painful thing that has ever happened to me in my life. And that includes earlier this year when I had spine surgery and was in the hospital on morphine for a whole week. I would seriously rather do that again than have my leg carved up and things stuck inside it with no aenesthia. For me, that was the stuff of nightmares. My ride home was horrified for me. Today, a day later, it is better, but I'm still hopped up on valium and I'm trading off on Vicodin and Percocet. They help take the edge off. I'm told I should be back on my feet in a couple days and that I can go back to my hiking 2-3 hours a day. I can't wait for that. It kind of sucks staying at home. I'm not really the type to lay in bed watching movies all day. I get bored with it. Wish me luck, and send cookies!!! ;-)

Ursula, she also has no legs but that again makes sense and would be hard to do with those tentacles.

this poor family which live in um khanour Sharjah. They have six children. The oldest child is 12, the youngest a baby. The father, being unemployed, works for a local farmer but does not earn enough to support his family. It is hard to describe the house they live in. It has dirt floors. A wood stove for cooking with empty dirty pans. Old clothing hangs from the ceiling. The baby sleeps on a bed with rumpled dirty blankets and the two-year-old boy sleeps on an old mattress in the corner of the room covered with some rags.

Through the Come Over and Help Poor Family Fund we are able to provide this family with the assistance they require to survive. There are many more families in the same

Don't bother! OK for your hobby but the thermal lag between the tip temperature and the temp sensor is so long that the tip can go quite cold before the sensor realizes it needs to heat. This makes it unsuitable for professional use.
