Quite the uninspired photo, just wanted to let you know I'm still here. I've been really busy and haven't had much time for photography.
Ollie played too hard at the dog park the other day and really tore up his pads. Lucky for him, his faithful sidekick Ariel kept him company throughout his recovery. I think she likes it when he's injured because she can just relax and not worry about being chased.
He is on the mend and we will be going for a short walk today.
A disgusting "tribute"- if one can call this a tribute - to the great Maria Callas! It seems more a horror freak show! Poor Maria!
It's cheap and broken which just makes it even more fun to use. On top of that it's got a black frame instead of a white one.
I love the way that this poor pod breaks. I believe it degrades disgracefully!

This poor animal was no doubt stuck in this position for hours and suffered horribly. Other kinds of fencing should be used to avoid this kind of needless death. Barbed wire is typically used above the "net" wire fencing like to ensure that a horse or cow or person can't easily put pressure on the fence and cause it to bow or damage it and then allow anything that is inside the fence to escape (not the case here) and to generally make it more difficult to cross, and to discourage any sort of trespass. Used like this there is probably also a cost savings. But, deer will always try to jump a fence this low. Depending on the need, one alternative would be to use wood fencing, despite probably additional upfront and maintenance costs, if the fence needs to remain no higher than this one. If the idea is to keep deer out completely, a 7 foot high fence with 9 foot posts spaced 12 feet apart and using solely net or mesh wire fence will effectively keep deer out. Metal posts will cost more than wooden posts. A tighter mesh than above will also help to ensure that other critters do not get stuck in the fence. Deer will still try to jump it but when they do, they will hit the upper 1/3rd of the fence and bounce back if the fence is constructed correctly, and the fence will not be damaged. (Thanks to Dean Stock of Kanab, Utah for this information.) And, at that height, horses/cow/people would be largely deterred. Deer mesh fencing is also available. A barbed wire line as shown here should not be used.

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio; a fellow of infinite repeatability, of most excellent detail; he hath been borne anew a thousand times; and now, how amazing in my imagination it is! "LISBON (Reuters) - A young man’s attempt to take a selfie snapshot with the statue of a 16th century Portuguese king ended badly when the 126-year-old statue crashed to the ground and shattered, police said on Wednesday. The man, whom police did not identify, accidentally toppled Dom Sebastiao’s statue after climbing up to its pedestal outside the ornate Rossio railway station in central Lisbon just before midnight on Tuesday.
He tried to flee the scene but police caught him. He will appear before a judge at a later date.
The child-sized statue of the sad-eyed, sword-wielding king stood in a niche between two horseshoe-shaped arches at the entrance to the station. Completed in 1890, the station is a protected monument.
Dom Sebastiao, who ruled between 1557 and 1578, is a tragic figure in Portuguese history, dying in battle at the age of 24 during a crusade of his own making in Morocco. His body was never properly identified, giving rise to a legend that the king would one day return to claim his throne and save Portugal in times of trouble."

Paid my first visit to Poor Common today which is situated south east of Ferndown in Dorset.
Really impressed with the work carried out here by East Dorset District Council to restore the Lowland Heath.
As part of this restoration process, the extensive dense areas of Rhododendron that previously dominated a large proportion of the site have been cleared, and a new footpath now extends through those areas.
Will certainly be returning to see how it progresses !
They took our Florida Grand baby to the northern part of North Carolina on a skiing vacation.

I bought a dslr camera not so long ago (so I'm not that experienced when it comes to photography) and then I went to China and Tibet with my family. It was an amazing trip!
I dropped this roll while hanging it to dry, got all scratched and dirty. It adds to the effect though!
Dad was in the RAF in the Middle East during WWII. This was taken on leave in Egypt. [It must be New Year - I'm reminiscing!]
I've lost my notes for what scents the middle and right-most soaps are. After checking my fragrance oils, I think the ones on the right are ginger. But those in the middle? A secret and very faint. Too little tea tree oil, maybe.
