The library hosted several of the PODS designed and created by the PODA (Portable on Demand Art) project: www.portableondemandartproject.com

One of the brooches from my Pod Metamorphosis series. This is #2 in the transformation.

I've been told that "youth" is all in the mind. I know I've been riding this planet long enough to make it around the Sun 35 times. From time to time, I have even lost count.

But, I laughed so much at my birthday celebration made possible by the hard work of Renu and the generosity of dozens of friends. I hadn't been to a rollerskaing rink for over two decades and I must admit, I felt just a little bit uncomfortable skating around the rink during the "birthday skate" with 6 other lucky individuals, all 10-years-old or younger. But my friends laughed and so did I.

This theme continued on through the night. There was laughter from all corners of my home. At one point, Matt was making his delicious guacamole which, with Edison's help, quickly became a first grade art project. Edison did manage to keep all 10 digits attached and there were no "surprises" found in the guacamole!

I've got a little bit of a headache today, likely from the slightly over-enthusiastic consumption of "adult" beverages. But, I have a little bit more of a spring in my step from the energy carried over from yesterday. And, I have a feeling that this energy will make my next trip around the Sun a bit more enriching. Perhaps even some of these white hairs will revert to their former shades.

Oxalis pods. (aka Wood Sorrel)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxalis

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxalis_corniculata Creeping/Recumbent Yellow Wood Sorrel- apparently the pods EXPLODE!

Could also be en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxalis_stricta Common Yellow Wood sorrel, which has the same yellow flowers and explosive effect.

Apparently the main difference between these two species is that one always creeps on the ground (corniculata) and the other is "erect when young," but "later becomes decumbent as it lays down, and branches regularly."

"Both plants are perennial; however, the main difference between the two is that yellow woodsorrel spreads by below-ground rhizomes (stems that creep below the ground), and creeping woodsorrel spreads by stolons (stems that creep above the ground)."

I didn't examine that closely when I was photographing them.

Disposable vape pod is a mini sized vape that comes with two parts. The first part is the mini vape that is filled with e-liquid that snaps into the small battery. These pods are usually pre-filled and dispense with the requirements of regular cleaning, change of coils, and battery as well as re-filling of liquids. Here you will get high-quality disposable pods for vaping giving excellent performances and they are also extremely durable.Visit our website gypsyvapes.com/vape-pod-systems/disposable-vapes

Today was gorgeous and I couldn't wait to get off of work to take advantage of it! After sitting at a desk all day, I'm trying my hardest to do something physical everyday and today, thanks to the weather, it was lap swimming! I used to swim competitively when I was younger, and this summer is the first time since the end of Junior year that I've been keeping any sort of swimming routine. It's especially encouraging when I see how healthy the 70+, 80+, 90+ (??) year-old swimmers are. Before I got to the pool, I was waiting at a red light downtown next to this rowhome. POD? Check.
