Begging dog "Boefje"

Almost every day I visit my mother in a nursing home.

Everywhere I look when I’m with her, I see people with Alzheimer. Children who visit their father or mother. Fathers and mothers who have become child again….., who cry out for their own father and mother….., who want to go to work or home….. or say nothing at all….

Oh yes, I want to get old, but….. I do hope my children don’t have to visit me in such a home some day…..

I've doubted to allow comments on this image and my feelings/emotions, but I know it's ok to express your feelings, not only mine, but many others are in the same situation as my mother is, as I am.

It's difficult, you have to except, this is the way it is, I can't change it, neither can anybody else.

And it's my choice to visit her almost every day, I think I have to go to her, 9 out of 10 times she still recognizes me, I see the joy in her eyes when I'm entering the section she is in. I cherish that!

In this tower chamber, which was easily heated, Christian IV carried out his correspondence. The room has been preserved, more or less intact, since the time of Christian IV in the first half of the 17th century: the ceiling paintings with scenes from the Italian epic Orlando Furioso, the paintings inlaid in the panels, and the fireplace. However, the wall coverings of green silk printed with gold ornaments date from around 1700.

I feel so guilty taking 10 minutes to put this photo on with all the work I still have to do. The movers are picking everything up in two weeks and I have too many dolls. Too much stuff but I wanted Rosa to know I received Gaby and love her very much! She is adorable and thank you for making such a darling doll!

I miss my flickr friends and will catch up on everyone's Stream when the move is over. The snow is melting here and summer is on the way. I hope you all have a wonderful spring and summer!

Yes I know the title is not original and used over and over by many. However, it fits this scene very well. This was taken during a private tour I was leading last summer. We had no clouds in the sky to speak of an hour before this and I surely thought that sunset would be a dud.

Yet it was on this day that the Rooster Rock Fire started only a half dozen miles from the town of Sisters. Of course forest fires are sad to see yet I also realize that are part of the cycle. This was the last you would see of this area for days to come. All of the Bend area was smokey and socked in starting the following day. With the smokey skies filling up right at sunset it gave us quite a show. Almost all the "clouds" you see here is really smoke. Thanks for any comments and thoughts as usual.
