Diwali is a five-day Hindu festival which starts on Dhanteras, celebrated on the thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha (Dark fortnight) of the Hindu calendar month. During Diwali people light Aakash Kandils in front of their homes and colonies. During night they glow with vibrant colors and shapes.

I've recently been feeling the urge to try some new looks, as it felt a bit like I was choosing the same outfits every time. A girl can never have too many options!

I decided to continue experimenting with stripes, and. also I wanted to try a few different colours. I quite like how these dresses look.

Shot from my front yard, and through my rhododendron tree, this is the roof of my next door neighbor's (to the east) house.

Notice the photo was taken on the 19th. Since Saturday, the 27th, things have started to thaw a bit... now we have a lovely combination of snow, ice and slush... yuk... even harder to walk around in.
