Built to stand on a flood plain, but now fallen to the hands of city planners. I think that I have mapped it correctly, however it may have been a little more upstream. It was torn down for flood abatement along with every thing around it after the flooding in 1993.
The Plains of Bagan (Pagan) are beautiful, any time of day. This is late afternoon from Pyathada Pagoda as the light fades over the plains.

The Village of Plain City, Ohio is split between Madison and Union counties. In 2010 the population was 4,225. Because of its proximity to the growing Columbus urban area the village experienced a 50% growth in population from 2000 to 2010.
Blackwater Golf Par-3. Superb little course now, fully mature. And, with the winds blowing, a great test of one's ability. www.blackwatergolfpar3.com

"On the plains of hesitation bleach the bones of countless millions who, at the dawn of decision, sat down to wait, and waiting died." - Sam Ewing
I've decided that I'm going to start writing again about something that relates to the photo. I've stopped recently, & I don't know why.
Also, I'm leaving Alberta. I'm doooone with this snow.
The beauty of wild flowers on the Great Plains of the United States. A quite spectacular view. This was taken in Wyoming on my 10 day voyage to the region. It was sunset time and I was walking across the open range. Luckily I had my GH2 with me and some space on my SD card. :) Enjoy.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
The Plains Zebra (Equus quagga, formerly Equus burchelli), also known as the Common Zebra or Burchell's Zebra, is the most common and geographically widespread form of zebra. It ranges from the south of Ethiopia right through east Africa as far south as Angola and eastern South Africa. The Plains Zebra remains common in game reserves but is threatened by human activities such as hunting it for its meat and hide, as well as encroachment on much of its former habitat.
Crazy Colorado weather, I'm ready for it to be over and we can have some sunshine!

This lego model 1957 Chevrolet 210 Sport Coupe has been built for Flickr LUGNuts 56th Build Challenge - 'Plain Jane' - the first half of a two month challenge to build a 'plain Jane' model, and then spend the second month customising it.
In this case I have taken the lower specification Chevrolet 210 from the 1957 catalogue. Missing some of the distinctive trim and options of the more glamorous Bel Air, the 210 looks very similar, sharing the Bel Air style side spear (but losing the rippled stainless steel panel section). This vehicle is modelled in two tone black over white, and was availaible in most of the colours that were optional in the 1957 catalogue.
Also present is the Sport Coupe, two-door pillarless hardtop. This is the second most glamorous bodystyle behind the rare Nomad two-door wagon.
This is not the first 1957 Chevrolet I have modelled, so the form and function are quite well developed. The model features body-on-frame construction, and lego piston vee-four engine (mimicing the package of the V8), live rear axle suspension, independent front suspension and rear-wheel-drive. The body features opening bonnet (hood), boot (trunk), and two coupe doors.
Stay tuned next month for some customising of this iconic classic American car.

A Plain Prinia (Prinia inornata). I found these guys near the sides of the roads where the small canals were to feed the rice fields. Plaeng Yao, Chachoengsao, Thailand.
Adjacent to the Sakumona Lagoon just east of Accra, Ghana. This pipit is widespread in Africa south of the Sahara.
