Hunters PXI 1319 heads along Royal Oak Way, Daventry, having left the depot for afternoon school duties. I popped here for G801 TBD, which has recently been repainted. Of course, it was the only bus that passed me when the sun was hiding behind a cloud...............
I'm Pixie and I've got sharp claws and I'm not afraid to use them - especially if you try to tickle my tummy ! That's why my humans are covered in scratches .... Happy Furry Friday

Pixie didn't move an inch or bat an eyelid as I took this photo. She was too focused on the hedge. I knew that there was someone there who was 'displeasing' her and when she shot off the box through the hedge I found out who it was (see photo in comments box below)

When we have a visitor at the front door all the other cats run for cover as soon as there is a knock . Pixie, on the other hand, always hangs around checking out anyone who turns up.
We felt we were being spied on as we walked down the garden path yesterday . At this point , Pixie looks disappointed that she's blown her cover as a statuette . However she kept the pose just long enough for me get a camera from indoors and snap this !
A break for Pixie between exhausting games - climbing trees , pouncing on anything that moves etc.etc... The break normally lasts a few seconds .Happy Furry Friday ! .

At last the wisteria has bloomed and added some colour to the Pixie's tree-house . Sometimes as you pass underneath , her paw comes down and taps you on the head. When visiting my garden it is sensible to wear a hat for protection.
Some lenses seem to have pixie dust. A certain way of rendering that is quite magical and lifts the lens to a new level compared to other lenses. Or at least that's what the owners say :-).
The Helios 40 has this pixie dust, especially when it comes to swirly bokeh. People tend to love the swirls or find them distracting. (I love it). The lens's reputation for swirls does hide some other strengths, both the smoothness wide open and the rendering stopped down. 85mm @ f1.5 is a pretty special combination.
Had a lot of fun taking this photo, attached to a Spotmatic, with a Helios 44-2, and some white fairy lights. ...Yes, they were all white, no idea how the pixies turned them to different colours.....(it wasn't my processing - it was the blue tint/coating to the glass).

I was told that this looked like a sprinkling of pixie dust on the salar .... I'm not going to argue.
The Salar de Uyuni has a variety of surface textures, ranging from the 'classic' hexagons, to this spiky area of raised crystals. Given that it's very flat - or, over the whole 10,582 square kilometres, convex strictly speaking - I hoped that the Sun would illuminate the tips of the crystals when it rose. It did, but I hadn't anticipated that the time from first light to 'completely blasted with glaring light' would be less than two seconds! As it is, this is a little more light that I'd aimed for; I blame that on slow reactions on my part in pressing the shutter release remote ;-)

Ray has not been inside his tree-house since Pixie leapt on top of it and rudely awoke him ! From that moment he decided to move into Pixie's penthouse . On this occasion Pixie looks happy that she has her penthouse balcony all to herself. However Ray has other plans.......
