evanston, wyoming. Needing rest on a long roadtrip to Yellowstone, I stopped off in a very nice little town - Evanston - where a train afficianado informed me about the roundhouse undergoing restoration on the north side of town; intrigued I wandered into this behemouth soot-coated building whose rooms would make a small concert hall. They were pressure washing the outside allowing spray to come in through the afternoon windows...
We went to see a friend with a Dutch Cruser project (that he is living on) along with his two dogs.
This is Pixie his pretty, blue girl greyhound relaxing on board the Black Badger.
Think I call this processing the Pug-wash!

é que estou mt ocupado com o colégio, praticamente estou morando lá. aulas desde da 7 da manhã até às 6 da noite. é mt cansativo :S
aqui está a 2ª versão daquela blend da pixie [esta]. Acho que prefiro a P&B, mas mostrei essa essa versão pra duas pessoas e elas falaram que gostaram mais dessa. quero saber qual vc prefere.
estou com saudades de blendar, mexer com o ps. mas acho que só farei isso na próxima semana =/ talvez um trat, já q são mais rápidos
btw, quero agradecer a todos os coments/favs/views da última foto. tow sem tempo de responder, mas quando tiver juro q comento nas fotos de todo mundo

... When selling the dust and delivering it to clients Gargamel has to be very careful not to get caught. He meets his customers in dark corners of the city to deliver the precious dust, so useful for dark magic.

My Summer Joust collab entry. My team mates were Alec and Simon (tagged). Had a lot of fun doing this build!
The the snowdrops bloomed this year in the first half of February and recent unseasonably warm weather has brought the pixie back to visit the garden. Wings furled on a windy day, she permitted me to approach and photograph her with the flowers. She caressed the plants gently and seemed to cherish them as a promise of imminent spring.

Pixie is so disappointed as Ray has got the best house in the garden and seems to be laughing hysterically about it. (to be honest he's having a clean). I have recently refurbished the house and it now has an extra support for the health and safety of the cats.
I rarely photograph more than one doll at a time these days - they can be rather unruly!

This is Pixie's party trick when she sits on the arm of the chair and falls sideways onto the lap of whoever is sitting there. She seems to be totally relaxed almost hypnotized when this happens ! We've come back home after 5 days away in Wales and they behaved themselves well, according to the cat-sitter.

It was great fun stepping out of my comfort zone for this MOC. Huge thanks to my fellow teammates, Simon and Micah, for all of the support throughout the building process!
Runa, a special person and a muse, she really inspired me to shoot and create... We also created together a little photo series that I’ll be sharing sooner or later, but till then, here is a portrait I took of her where she reminds me of a magical pixie.

This photoshoot with Lílian was fairly successful in my city. Many people got to see the photos, two were featured in the local newspaper, and people really liked the photos...
So you'd think that people would take interest in hiring me to take their photos. But nooooo... that's not the case. People here think I am expensive so they hire cheaper (and extremely tacky) photographers to take their photos.
But not only they hire cheap and tacky people, so many of them also try to copy my photos!
I really do hate copycat, because for one they want to make people believe they came up with an original idea, when they didn't and second, if they try to recreate an image, very likely they think they can do better and this is disrespectful, to say the least.
The other day, I was quite surprised to see the album of a girl who had shown interest in work with me. The photos were taken at the same park (Arthur Thomas) I shot Lílian and they tried to find the spot I shot her, but they went to another point in the park where the access is also not allowed (not even close to the same spot though).
At first I was really irritated, but then I laughed. The photos turned out lame and tacky. Serves them right.
I have just posted more photos from this day on my blog, and if you would visit and leave a nice little comment there, I would really appreciate! :)
Pixie knows all the best places to spy on the other cats. She's gone undercover but has nothing to report as the other cats are either asleep or not interested. The human with a camera keeps blowing my cover - so annoying ! >)
I think my Nan used to say this when she disapproved of someone's behaviour. Pixie seems to be giving Ray that same look !

We just got hit with a northeastern days after Sandy. I probably was one fo the few that was actually excited. I know this is fun season for city photogs.
Hunters PXI 1319 heads along Royal Oak Way, Daventry, having left the depot for afternoon school duties. I popped here for G801 TBD, which has recently been repainted. Of course, it was the only bus that passed me when the sun was hiding behind a cloud...............
After exactly zero apples last year due to a late frost, both our apple trees are more than making up for it this year.
This is Pixie Crunch, a small early apple on a dwarf root, bowing under the weight of more than 200 apples. I've staked branches several times now; one of the stakes has already broken.
Good for fresh eating, but I've also made two pies with it last week that were really delicious. Because they're quite small apples, making a pie takes a bit more time, but it's well worth it. The apples are sweet, with a well-rounded tangy-ness - I did not need to add any sugar at all!
This is a late bloomer for the studio 26 contact sheet assignment. I've worked on this a few evenings, but just couldn't get it done in time. Pretty large file to allow for some decent size for the small images.
(Bottom middle shows cedar apple rust damage. We don't spray, and we live in the northeast... So far the apples have not minded. More damaging are the thousands of caterpillars blowing in from the ubiquitous maple trees - you can see some holes in the large image -, but now that the trees are a little more mature, I can let the sparrows do most of the cleanup, and the trees leaf out with more leathery, stringy leaves after the worst infestation in early spring is over.)
