My friend's recently adopted elderly dachshund. Pixie's elderly owner passed away and she was in a rescue until she found a fantastic home. Needless to say the photo wasn't taken in my garden.

Pixies love to dance. Their music is the most haunting and beautiful ever heard by human ears. Music filled with ancient sadness, as sweet as fresh honey, deeply sensual, with rhythms that are tranquil one moment, demented the next. Because of the limitations of the human ear, it is a music that is more felt then heard. Pixies often dance in circles, leaving rings of flattened grass to mark the sites of their midnight revels-- or circles of toadstools springing up where Pixie feet have trod.
Pixie always joins me in bed in the morning while I drink my tea and read the on-line papers. She kept turning her head around to make sure I was still there
Another dismally grey day yesterday so ideal for turning your attention to the smaller things in life.
To my little Moon Princess Pixie, You have been with me for a few years now. We first met so long ago, back in early 2010 and came back together in 2019 when i was looking for a baby of my own. You have been a special little sparkle in my life, and even when i left SL for a few years i thought about you every day i was gone. I never want to let you go, and look forward to spending many more years, and growing with you by my side. Happy Anniversary to you and us!
Phiil built a small 'extension' on to the original Kaiser's Castle which is at the bottom of the garden, covered in wisteria. He purposely built it with Pixie in mind as she is tiny and would be the only one who could actually fit in it. Now she is out and about in the garden she has secured it as her own. If you knew what I had to go through to get this shot: I had to stick my arms through the wisteria and point in the general direction of the house and hope for the best (see photo in comments below) After several failed attempts - success! I also got covered in lots of red hive like bumps which meant that I had either been bitten by something else living in there or that I am allergic to wisteria. Glad to say after a dose of antihistamine and a warm salt bath I am spot free.

It's a tiny metal pixie sitting in a little shell.

That quote perfectly describes my feelings about my first workshop yesterday. I was beyond excited to meet my group and see what everyone had to offer, and I was nervous too...that I would suddenly forget how to create an image! So I thought it only appropriate to do a Peter Pan picture :-)
It was an absolutely wonderful day from start to finish. I think that we all learned something, and we definitely all had a laugh at some of my odd techniques both in shooting and editing!! :-P I am bursting with excitement for the next one now!

Pixie seems to be smiling here . She was sitting in front of the fire and had just eaten the corner of the box she was sitting in, so life at that moment couldn't have been better for her.

Pixie always shoots up this tree when she gets overexcited. Whenever one of us goes down the garden, she races ahead of us and then whoosh up the tree she goes. She was showing off even more as I was standing underneath with my camera, so she started chewing the twigs. When she waits outside the bathroom door in the morning, waiting for me to come out, all you can hear is her clattering about on the landing. That's her chasing her tail round and round until I come out. She is so full of life - she never stops.

Both our tabby cats find the curtain is a favourite hiding place where they remain motionless for a long time then suddenly leap out at imaginary prey ! We've never seen the other two cats do this. Kaiser often howls when he' s behind the curtain.
She was staring at the reflection of light from my camera. Can you believe we have had this little girl 5 years now.

Another weekend busy doing nothing, however I have the day of Wednesday and will have my hair cut in the morning and I have also booked a garden table at one of the Forest pubs for lunch - wooo hooo!

#233/365 Post Process Fridays episode #30. Welcome to the magical world of Machel Spence. Most of you I am sure is familiar with her wonderful work. Her unique style displays a side of nature most of us never see or notice. For this image I definetly did not go for realism as far as colors. I wanted vibrant colors to resemble something from a fairytale. I must say Machel's SOOC shots is some of the best I have seen. For this shot I will add some tips on the image for a couple of things I did to the image. I'm off to North Carolina in the morning. I will be able to hit a bunch of your streams early on. The rest will have to wait till I get to my hotel in the evening.
