Hoy cito a mi mamá, por que es que en verdad verdad las cuentas se pagan solas.

Y eso suena muy muy bien.
"Colorful Macaw - Blurry Flight with ID" by Patti Deters. The Red-and-green Macaw (Ara chloropterus), also known as the green-winged macaw, is one of the largest and most spectacular parrot species in the world. These tropical avians are famous for their high intelligence, loud vocalizations, and the bare white patches of skin around their eyes, which actually blush when the bird gets excited or startled. In this unique artistic capture, the typical stillness of a nature portrait is traded for a dynamic explosion of movement. The flying macaw cuts through the air like a living paintbrush, its brilliant crimson head sharply defined while its colorful wings dissolve into a soft rush of turquoise, royal blue, and lime green plumage against a clean, minimalist high key background. It feels like the visual representation of wind, speed, and freedom - one can almost hear the rushing sound of air beneath its feathers. This image is also available without the identification words at the link below. I had this shot in mind when I took it the other morning on my way to work. This is a handheld pan of 5 images shot on my Pixel, stitched with Microsoft ICE, and minor cropping done in ACSDee Ultimate.
I posted nearly the same image on my Instagram account, but it was created by the Google Assistant on my Pixel Phone from the same frames before I could get home and process this one.

A game available on many systems, and now in LEGO form! Dalv faces the end boss, Yog-Dzewa. Yog-Dzewa is an Old God, a powerful entity from the realms of chaos. It has summoned Rotting Fist and Burning Fist: these are the last enemies that stand between Dalv and the Amulet of Yendor!
A century ago, the ancient dwarves barely won the war against its army of demons, but were unable to kill the god itself. Instead, they then imprisoned it in the halls below their city, believing it to be too weak to rise ever again. "Hope is an illusion" it says when Dalv encounters it.
I have spent many, many hours playing this game... I beat Yog-Dzewa thirteen times, with all characters classes, and multiple challenges, even once with two challenges! If you don't know the game, you can fix that for free, if you do, HOORAY!
As a tribute to all those hours of frustration, and some of entertainment, I built this MOC. I took some artistic liberties - mostly with the inventory - but wanted to give it as much of a game-like appearance as possible.

The above image is a scan from an original Kodachrome™ slide. The default size is 2000 x 1250 pixels, so clicking on the photo will enlarge it for better viewing.
The original image comes from my slide collection, amassed over the past 40+ years. They are a combination of my own photographs and ones acquired over those years.
I created this Photostream in 2017 for the purpose of holding my slide collection as an archive, as otherwise they would just remain in binders and boxes, not being enjoyed by anyone, myself included.

Pixel Prom 2016 was once again hosted by the lovely Harlow Heslop on the Blithe Sim.. Huge thanks for giving so many of a night to remember with our friends and loved ones each year! <33
Here are some snapshots I captured of the evening among the crowd of party-goers. Feel free to tag your friends!
I hadn't gone back to the nest for 5 days, so I wasn't surprised to find little Pixel had fledged. He was way up on a branch in a tree about 40' from his nest. There were no low branches on the nest tree so he must have taken quite a tumble leaving the nest. I think maybe this accounts for the little blood above his right eye.
Pixelated Leia. Needs some work with some pixels being a bit dark and what not., but here she is as of now. Helps if you squint and take a step back from your screen.

Always good storm chasing stories to tell about my weather adventures in 2014.
Days right after my knee operated on... Home from the hospital & I definitely wasn't supposed to be out and about. Knee was almost in a cast and I wasn't supposed to be doing anything to aggravate the situation. Though my quest for severe weather never ends and I wasn't going to miss another possible chase especially when its in my backyard. This storm was going to be a photogenic monster... Decision was made & off I went.
Personal Note *** On the original set Back in 2014 I had use the free Avery photo editor here Flickr and it wasn't the best but I had no prior knowledge of editing them back then. Only shot in .jpg format and I didn't do the best by over coloring and over saturation. Was very under experienced in photo editing back then.
This is the original set of captures from this day. There are some here that are edited but most of them are not altered here. Another epic set of thunderstorm captures from South Central Nebraska.
By going out ... I paid for it. Soreness without relief for a few days after this shoot. Knee after the surgery was super sore with lots of swelling. All worth it when it comes to what epic views I caught storm chasing on that particular day!

This guitar case is the best place for sleeping. My cat Pixel sleeping on the case and the other fuzzball Ozzy is right behind her. By the way this cat is huge she weighs 14lbs and easily stretches from one end to the other of the guitar case.
Captured, processed and uploaded entirely from my Pixel phone. Not sure about what produced the green tint on the right.

I imagine it all goes the same place.
Even the things that were never real.
It all goes on in the end.
Using the portrait effect. Wind kept the precision of the composition out of my hands. Took several versions. I think this is closest to the DSLR version.
